2017 College Football Thread: Hawaiian QB devastated to find out Jesus was "kinda rooting for Georgia" (3 Viewers)

Anyway, top five seems pretty cut and dried right now:

1. Bama

2. Clemson

3. Penn State

4. Oklahoma

5. USC

If you wanted to put OU ahead of Penn State, I won't argue with you.

No idea where OSU goes though.
Why not USC over PSU?  They did beat them in 2017....

Clemson's defense has allowed 80 passing yards on the season.

Also had 11 sacks tonight, one short of the team record.

Meanwhile, looking forward to how the next 11 weeks play out to see how Ohio State still makes the playoff over Oklahoma.

Dear Oklahoma fans, don't celebrate too hard. You're gonna be mad when you see Ohio State in #CFBPlayoff and you're not. Signed, Penn State

Excuse me, I'm going to go shine my Heisman Trophy.  :P

Annnnnnnd Baylor goes down to USTA, whatever that is.  This delights me to no end.
Who started playing football a few years ago with Larry Coker's corpse as head coach.

Couldn't have happened to a schmuckier university/team. Liberty last week and now the Roadrunners of UTSA.

Texas-San Antonio and Liberty have a combined seven seasons in FBS, including this year.

Meep meep.

Brian Kelly just stormed out of his post game interview. A reporter asked him how he prevents the snowball like last season and when he got pissy with her, she pointed out the stat above in his horrible close game record. He corrected her that it wasn't as much one possession but one point and stormed off. He's done.

So who do you get now?  Don't say Chip Kelly if it's an improvement on social gracres you're after. He's got a redder assssss than a baboon on a skillet and will not like academic standards.  Who else?

Stewart Manuel and Bruce Feldman were chatting about this and Schiano was the name that came up.

Truthfully, the Irish played pretty well on the road tonight...

USC looked pretty filthy tonight.
Their d is not playoff caliber yet although did a much better job in the second half.

special teams coverage is also an issue. Offense though is legit, darnold needs to cut down on picks and manage game situation better but for a sophomore is doing a good job.

Saban press conference, looking to add another coach:

Listening to radio Ian Fitzsimmons from the sideline kept talking about the aggressive heckling the OSU fans were giving Mayfield and the OU bench...think that had a lot to do with his reaction.

Anyone. Seriously. Clay Helton wasn't a world beater but he's got USC positioned well. Franklin had a slow start at PSU but they're coming back.

Kelly tells ND fans week after week that he's been doing this for 27 years. He's too stubborn to ever turn the corner because he thinks he's doing a good job for some bizarre reason. He's an 8-5 coach. That's not good enough at Notre Dame. Start over and see if you can find the next great one.
