The way this CFP is eating at OSU FAN has to something we can all enjoy.I think most of the UCF stuff posted yesterday was shtick, but apparently not all of it.

I posted that it was the way I think college football SHOULD be. 2 teams fighting it out, capable of passing & running the football.I could have sworn you posted - this is not college football as it should be - that wasn’t you? My bad if not.
Once again bama didn't belong there anyone can win one game just look at UCF. That is the argument bama shouldn't have been there. It's a joke that they are in the NC game. It's either both or neither, people.
Guess again! They were favored against and then defeated the defending national champs in pretty convincing fashion, but don't deserve to be there?
I think the "they don't belong there" argument pretty much got destroyed last night.
Oh c'mon lost one road game to a top 10 team by 8 ptsOnce again bama didn't belong there anyone can win one game just look at UCF. That is the argument bama shouldn't have been there. It's a joke that they are in the NC game.
I could see this also being a classic. The UGA running game finally forces Saban to make a move at QB down by 10 and the freshman leads his team to a classic last minute victory.Of course I'm gonna watch. I just expect it to be miserable.
Glad none of those schools recruit in Florida.
Oh c'mon UCF had a tougher schedule than bama!Oh c'mon lost one road game to a top 10 team by 8 pts
ucf would have lost that first game to FSU by three scoresOh c'mon UCF had a tougher schedule than bama!
Yeah ok lol sec rulesucf would have lost that first game to FSU by three scores
Awesome!UCF is def better than 12th but not in top 4. I would be ok making them 5.
cant please everyone. oh wellAwesome!
5th out of 130 teams, undefeated, and left out of the playoff.
What a ####ty playoff system.
If Bama had lost to Tennessee by 31 points they wouldn't have been in the playoffs. If UCF had better wins than Memphis they might have gotten into a four team playoff. HTHBama set the precedent. Play the sisters of the poor and get rewarded. I hope everyone starts to do what bama has been doing forever!
So you point to Tenn. As a big win no wonder bama got in lol. Surely UCF would have got trounced by the mighty vols.If Bama had lost to Tennessee by 31 points they wouldn't have been in the playoffs. If UCF had better wins than Memphis they might have gotten into a four team playoff. HTH

You're having trouble following. There's actually a so-called playoffs where this wasn't supposed to happen but it's a f in joke to let two sec team's in.We need to go back in time and correct all the injustices of college football.
2010 TCU, 2008 Utah, 1998 Tulane, 1975 Arkansas State. All worthy of reparations.
Apparently you are, go on with your ball washing, I'm out of this stupid conversation. You're having trouble following.
Every other level of football does.cant please everyone. oh well
Before being selected to the CFP, 2016 OSU beat 11-2 Oklahoma, 11-3 Penn State, 10-3 Michigan, and 11-3 Wisconsin.gump said:Curious if you know how this years Bama schedule SOS compares to last years Buckeyes?
FYI as of mid December each year, 2016 OSU was #1 SOS. 2017 Bama was #10.Before being selected to the CFP, 2016 OSU beat 11-2 Oklahoma, 11-3 Penn State, 10-3 Michigan, and 11-3 Wisconsin.
Before being selected to the CFP, 2017 Alabama's best win was over 9-4 LSU.
I'm okay with teams not winning their conference making it into the playoff, but it should because their accomplishments were so great that they shouldn't be overlooked. Alabama didn't accomplish much at all this year. They were selected simply because of the eyeball test. And given what they did to Clemson, the eyeball test proved to be true. But if eyeball tests gets one into the playoff, then we will have teams scheduling weak ### teams and running up the scores again, just like we had before for decades. The new CFP "committee" has changed nothing.
Bama played FSU this year and USC last year. Good one.Bama set the precedent. Play the sisters of the poor and get rewarded. I hope everyone starts to do what bama has been doing forever!
If a team played twelve 7-5 teams, they'd end up with a really high SOS, if not the best in the country. I'd still say a team that beat three or four ten win teams accomplished a lot more than them.FYI as of mid December year, 2016 OSU was #1 SOS. 2017 Bama was #10.
Lol you are really expecting that QB move. I can't imagine a world where it actually happens.I could see this also being a classic. The UGA running game finally forces Saban to make a move at QB down by 10 and the freshman leads his team to a classic last minute victory.
Only if jaylen gets hurtLol you are really expecting that QB move. I can't imagine a world where it actually happens.
It was a competition this past off season. Hurts wonOne of the kids will probably transfer, right? I know Saban would probably prefer they both stick around and compete with one another (I seem to recall he was upset when some of the other QBs left after Hurts won the job last year) but that seems unrealistic. Do you tell Hurts this spring that it's an open competition? It would behoove him to transfer before the fall semester starts but I wouldn't fault Bama if they aren't ready to make that decision yet. That's a tough spot for Hurts.
You can be right. That's cool. Just tell me you at least feel dirty defending them. Just tell me that.Bama played FSU this year and USC last year. Good one.
It's the worst.Dedfin said:You can be right. That's cool. Just tell me you at least feel dirty defending them. Just tell me that.
So that's the end of it forever? I am talking about for next year. There is no way they just give the job to Hurtsneed2know said:It was a competition this past off season. Hurts won
Didn't say that. Of course it will be. Esp if bama losesSo that's the end of it forever? I am talking about for next year. There is no way they just give the job to Hurts
I understand Hurts won the job this year, that seems pretty obvious. What I am saying is that I don't think either player will be happy as the backup next season and would prefer to transfer if he doesn't win the job. If you are going to transfer you want to do it before the fall 2018 semester starts so you don't miss out on another year. I am curious to see if either kid will decide to move on this spring/summer is all I am saying.Didn't say that. Of course it will be. Esp if bama loses
Maybe they should just do the right thing and fold the program.Didn't say that. Of course it will be. Esp if bama loses
OSU played Michigan; what more do you want?Bama set the precedent. Play the sisters of the poor and get rewarded. I hope everyone starts to do what bama has been doing forever!
FYP7 times this year the Sooners have given up more than 30 points in a game. That is BIG XII football, I tell ya. I swear M. Stoops must have nudes on someone, or the B. Stoops stuck around to save his brother's job. UGH.
I dunno TCU was a top 20 defense this year. They play the same teams. I think OU finished around 70th. Not acceptable with the athletes they get.
Saw a rare decent segment on ESPN showing some of the scheme breakdowns UGA took advantage of. Really poor stuff.A day to reflect and still don't know how M. Stoops wasn't met on the tarmac with walking papers. Scoring 48 points in a game and still losing is ridiculous.
7 times this year the Sooners have given up more than 30 points in a game. That is Division II ball stats playing Division I schools. I swear M. Stoops must have nudes on someone, or the B. Stoops stuck around to save his brother's job. UGH.
Go Dawgs.
