Why is anyone mad at LeBron? This wasn’t the “taking my talents to South Beach” debacle. Cleveland’s round 2 had run its course. Brought a title there. Gilbert’s an idiot. Owed them nothing more. Didn’t draw out the decision and LA has the cap space and young talent to really make a competitive roster. Leonard, Cousins, mid levels.

That's basically my point. They need Leonard now and he's not going to be cheap especially to a Western Conference team. James and Leonard sound great, but if they are surrounded by average guys, they aren't good enough to beat the Warriors.
Anyways, if they get Leonard this year, @ me and we will work something out (I believe last I saw they were 3/1 at Vegas Westgate and I'm sure the market adjusted to inside information)

I'd think so but I don't really follow the team. Maybe they'd fit together somehow. I can't see any team really getting too excited to get him with the baggage and his very mediocre game.

Didn't expect the 4yrs but I figured he'd go to LAL after hearing his son enrolled in school there already. You don't enroll your kid in school in the WC and then go sign and play in the East coast. Just doesn't seem to make much sense.

You could look at it the other way too, with Simmons and Fultz playing more this year and the way they shoot he will probably miss more games!

Only butthurt Cleveland fan I'm guessing. I doubt many Cleveland fans honestly are pissed at him other than it sucks he's leaving a team in shambles.

His dumb ### decision cost me money too. Do I go to a team with 2 all stars and a nice young core, or do i go a team with a guy who mysteriously tore his meniscus out of nowhere and acts like everyone wants to come there, when in reality few do.

Really feel like LaBron’s signing actually puts more pressure on Philly to get a deal done. No chance without Kahwi. There only shot is to get Kahwi now and have him fall in love with the team l, ala PG. If they sit back and be passive Lakers swoop up Kahwi next year guaranteed.

With the LeBron James $35.65M cap hit, Los Angeles now has $13.4M in cap space after all free agent cap holds are released except for Julius Randle. Releasing the Randle hold would get the Lakers to $25M in room. Los Angeles can keep Randle and stretch the $36.8M owed to Luol Deng over five seasons. Doing so would see Los Angeles with $23.2M in room. The Lakers will have the $4.4M room midlevel exception available after cap space is used.

It'd be fun watching Lebron put Lavar in his place. Minute he acts up Lebron could go to Magic making threats of wanting to be traded because of him and Lavar's dream of his kids in LAL are gone forever. Someone really needs to shut up that blowhard

Meh, no big deal. We're back where we kind of knew we were. LeBron was about a 25% chance anyway.
I'd offer SA Saric, Roco and that 2021 Heat pick. If that gets it done, work on getting him to stay all season. Mean time, that should be enough to get even with the Celtics at least.

agree with all but the bolded above. I don't think teams will stop tanking just yet, but if they did Lakers may have had 20-22 wins. They may have some potential talent, but I don't think it is even close to the young talent in Philly or Boston

Really think your looking at it from the wrong direction. Boston or Philly must get KL now. Gotta play defense here and not let the Lake Show get thier shot. If you do your toast. Time to push all in and spend the next year romancing Kawhi so he stays.

I feel for you. I've been telling Sixers fans since this whole "process tanking" thingy started I don't see Lebron going to the Sixers. Then recently in the last few months had the same gut feeling about the Sixers probably getting the 2nds in FA I did for Chi when they missed out on all the big guys in 2010 and ended up with Boozer and Rip Hamilton. Don't get me wrong I liked those guys and Boozer had a few cool nicknames and all but it wasn't Wade coming home and forming an all Chicago Backcourt with Rose with Bosh at PF and Noah at C.

I didn't see a ton of Laker basketball so I'll defer to hardcore Laker fan and NBA superfan. Not many teams are going to want to deal with his dip#### Dad. He's got the knee issue, minor thing but still. Just don't think he's going to be a sought after piece in a trade.

LeBron was a done-deal a year ago...the big surprise is George going back to OKC...did not think that was a serious consideration...thought he was going to ride shot-gun with LeBron...with Golden State, Houston and LA (there will be more to come...LeBron is not a solo act here) their road to a championship is very steep...as a Celtics fan this is a good day...with Kyrie and Hayward coming back they are the definite favorites in the East...

It’s gotta include Fultz now. If it does that gets it done even if the Lakers offer is slightly better. Pop doesn’t want to strengthen the Lakers if at all possible.
