2018 College Football Thread: Local man buys some teenage champions a 4 for 4 (2 Viewers)

Having had more than a day to decompress ...

Yesterday obviously stunk, but that might be the best all-around BC team I've seen since the Matt Ryan days, particularly on offense. AJ Dillon is going to be a problem for teams this season.

I wouldn't be surprised if BC is 7-0 going into a Friday night game against Miami in late October. The schedule sets up nicely to that point before getting brutal (Miami, at Va. Tech, Clemson, at FSU).

Miami trying so hard to not have to get the ball there. So dumb. You were getting great field position just back the F off the punt.

Nick Saban must not have liked actually looking the 5’0 tiny **** ### hole he is next to Maria Taylor.

Also, Maria Taylor

What just happened after that second punt? Watching with the sound off ... why did LSU get the ball back?
something about the defender launching himself over the punt protectors

looked like the dude jumped, and the blocker went low to submarine him, causing the Miami player to go over the top

"that's a good no-call" on the obvious facemask which could have changed the game, says the rules official after reviewing the replay.

UCLA’s true freshman QB, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, so highly recruited, is either not ready or he simply sucks.  Not sure which.
Both teams played freshmen that couldn’t throw, but the line disparity should be alarming for the Bruins. They were getting pushed around on both sides of the ball at home against the Bearcats and are about to play maybe the toughest schedule in America.  FWIW, the 2 DTs are probably the best 2 players on the Bearcats.

Yeah, he is a class act.
Bojang is an OSU fan.
Regardless of anyone else's affiliation, Saban was dead wrong in that instance.  The apology was damage control.  You cannot do that to a female reporter.  Really shouldn't do it to anyone, but the juxtaposition of the most powerful man in the sport "undressing" (best word I could find here) a female reporter while asking a question on many minds is appalling.  She handled it amazingly well.

He is the best in the business, and very well may be the best of all time, but it is a glimpse of what he is like as a person.  Not immoral, not evil, doesn't deserve to be fired (and I'm glad to have him), but he is not a nice human being.

Eh, I don't really have a problem with what he did. As far as him having to handle her differently because she's a woman, that's B.S. To the question, all it's meant to do is sow discontent. Ask about the game. Not about his thoughts on specific players.

I don't think her being a female has anything to do with it.  He was either an ### or he wasn't regardless of whether the reporter was Maria Taylor or Herbstreit or anyone else.   It was a jerk move and he apologized.

I don't think he's a bad guy and don't think that one answer makes him not nice either.  I don't understand why he just won't tell the world what we already know and Tua is the guy.  He isn't going to roll Hurts out there against LSU, for example.

You guys are nuts if you think he would have blown up on Kirk Herbstreit or someone else like that. Absolutely a lot of that had to do with her being a female imo. He didn’t respect her and he showed his ### over it.

What makes you think this? He blows up on males every day. He blew up on a similar question last week. He blows up on everyone in the world but his wife...his temper sees no sex or race.

Regardless I thought it was funny to have to listen to anything from a Buckeye...but not surprising.
