What do you mean by even if ND and Michigan lose?  I don’t think either of them have room for a loss. ND as a one loss non conference champ would be in a tough spot, Michigan with 2 losses means they don’t win the conference either (I would assume the loss is to either OSU or in the Conf title game). 

If all 4 of the top 4 win out, yeah I think that’s a pretty easy call. If something happens like Syracuse beats ND, things get really fun. 

 
Went to the game at The Swamp today...smallest crowd I’ve seen there in the 12 or so games I’ve been to. Early kick, iffy weather, coming off two losses...

Still...75k people, real cheerleaders, sundresses, vintage videos, mascots, dueling bands...pageantry...just in the stadium...the best sport.

OU showed they don't belong in the playoff discussion weeks ago.  

You really think this OU defense is, well...defensible?  Worthy of a final 4?  C'mon, man. You're not that myopic.  They fired their defensive coordinator so even they know they suck.  Didn't help.  They still suck.  Who are they stopping in a potential playoff matchup? Hell, who are they stopping in a potential Breastfeeder Bowl matchup?

I'm just saying there's still a reasonable chance that Oklahoma gets into the playoffs. 

Clemson or Alabama, against their defense, could set records.

I love that people crap on UCF’s schedule, but then when they play a real team they make an excuse for them getting beat. It’s circular logic.  

UCF doesn’t deserve a playoff spot with that schedule but stop making excuses for their opponents. Gus has lost to worse teams.

I dont think I crapped on their schedule, but ok.

I do think there are numerous instances of Power5 teams...usually blue bloods that lose out on a chance to play for the title and then get beat by some upstart group of 5 team. I think Alabama lost to Utah years ago. I think FSU lost to Houston a few years ago after something similar. I am just saying motivation has something to do with it.

I hate making excuses for those teams losing in bowl games. It’s disingenuous imo. I watched that FSU-Houston game. They got their ### whooped.

That team has completely given up on him.  Lamar Jackson bought him more years than he deserved.

I think he deserves at least one more year.  Thats nuts that one bad year gets you canned.  Good luck finding someone as good as him.

He was 9-4 and 8-5 before Jackson

That’s way over simplifying things. He’s a garbage person, he’s given up on coaching this team, and he used and all timer at QB just to make them average. 

There is not a single team that’s going to be excited that Petrino is available to coach for them. 

 
I can't believe there is a person alive who is surprised at the Petrino firing. I called it weeks ago.  The handwriting was all over the wall.  

Louisville has a new AD.  They got rid of Pitino, Petrini and that creepy drunk pizza guy.  They want Brohm.  He's their chosen one.  The prodigal son and all his brothers are their dream. 

Petrino will resurface at Western Kentucky, Arkansas State or UTEP.
