The one move cashman didn't makeGotta believe the Astros are the heavy favorite with Cole dealing...huge acquisition.
Scary stuff. Still in critical condition, but stable is the latest. On Friday night, Chicago White Soxreliever Danny Farquhar lost consciousness in the dugout after pitching the sixth inning. The White Sox issued a brief statement after the game, explaining that he had been transferred to RUSH University Medical Center, where he was conscious and undergoing further testing and treatment.
says he suffered a brain hemorrhage. Damn
Houston will be tough to beat, but if the pitching staff can stay healthy with Bauer and Clevinger continuing to progress, the Indians have a real shot.ALCS could be interesting this year...
Holy crap. I must've missed that todayEnough of this crap. If they can't get that one right, I can have no faith in any decision they make. burn the replay system to the mf'in' ground.

Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!
And the way Keuchel, Morton, Verlander and Cole all re-energized their careers with the venue change, I can see a lot more FA SPs trying to get on board in the futureGotta believe the Astros are the heavy favorite with Cole dealing...huge acquisition.

Keuchel did not come from another team, but the new coaching staff after 2013 showed a dramatic turnaround in his career
Are you saying free agents will choose Houston because a handful of other pitchers have been good there? Come on. Free agents don't choose their destination based on the pitching coach's spit ball philosophy. And the way Keuchel, Morton, Verlander and Cole all re-energized their careers with the venue change, I can see a lot more FA SPs trying to get on board in the future
Really hope he makes a quick recovery. Scary stuff.Epic Problem said::(
Danny Farquhar will stay in the hospital for at least the next three weeks after having surgery to remove the swelling in his brain.
Farquhar suffered a hemorrhage in the sixth inning of Friday's game, and was rushed to the hospital after passing out in the dugout. He's currently listed as being in critical but stable condition, and reports indicate that more information isn't being released at the request of Farquhar's family.

Hey my co-owner picked him up! It’s kinda working out!!General Malaise said:Guys, I think this Mac Williamson might be up to something.
Looking over some of my rosters, I'm setting myself up for plenty of frustration as I actually have a team where I have every Dodgers pitcher besides of Kershaw.Dave Roberts continues to be infuriating. Maeda through 6 at just 82 pitches, given up 1 run on 4 hits, Marlins 6-7-8 due up in top of 7th, his spot due up 3rd in the bottom half of the frame and he pulls him.
There is nothing here that makes baseball sense.
Had Wood, Hill, Maeda as my 3-5 going into the season. Ryu got off to a hot start and picked him up off of the WW. If this team goes out and wins a 100ish again, it’s rather sound logic. You're doing it wrong.
He’s playing a AAA team today but it was nice to finally put him in the starting lineup, after sitting on him 2+ years in Dynasty:Acuna Bomb!
I drafted him to early in BTTF just for the sheer enjoyment of following his season, think it will be funHe’s playing a AAA team today but it was nice to finally put him in the starting lineup, after sitting on him 2+ years in Dynasty:![]()
Along these lines, I cannot for the life of me see MLB expanding by two teams. There aren't enough good players right now to fill 30 teams. Can you imagine the 5 man rotations for some teams if they go to 32?He’s playing a AAA team today but it was nice to finally put him in the starting lineup, after sitting on him 2+ years in Dynasty:![]()
It's not a given that tanking works. Seattle has been tanking for 15 years and look where they are. You have to know what you're doing in the draft if want to tank. Drafting is an inexact science in all sports but augmented in MLB.We are definitely seeing a shift in impact youth will have on a roster. Those draft picks are coming up much sooner, so the urge to tank is stronger. It's starting to look more like the other big sports. Next step is to allow untethered draft pick trades, that will really open the flood gates.
I don't see the M's as tanking. Over the last 4-5 years, they've signed the likes of Cruz and Cano to long term, pricey contracts. That was done to compete now. Before that it was acquiring Cliff Lee and signing the likes of Chone Figgins. It's not a given that tanking works. Seattle has been tanking for 15 years and look where they are. Chone Figgins $35M (in 2010 dollars) for -0.9 total rWAR.I don't see the M's as tanking. Over the last 4-5 years, they've signed the likes of Cruz and Cano to long term, pricey contracts. That was done to compete now. Before that it was acquiring Cliff Lee and signing the likes of Chone Figgins.
