Maybe - I’m too biased to be rationale about it but Fromm led them to SEC championship and almost NC. Kid is good and poised. I’m wondering if we’ll find out he’s injured. I mainly pointed it out because it will drive UGA fans crazy. If someone wants to send me an OSU Fields Jersey I will where it to Xmas dinner and film the hilarity when my UGA relatives see it.If I were a Georgia fan the Fromm over Fields decision would be a deal breaker for Kirby for me. You can’t make a decision that bad.
Update?Even. Conference championship win is even. Doesn't matter how you do it.
Sorry to reply to myself but I still can’t believe he punted and kind of surprised he wasn’t crushed in here. Why punt there - did he think if he managed to keep the loss under 30 that somehow they would consider UGA over OU?Lots of good stuff yesterday but one of my favorites was Kirby punting with 5 minutes left. That was so Richt-esque. He’s better than Richt though. UGA’s problem appears to be they made the wrong decision in the Fromm vs. Fields debate. Fromm seems to be either hurt or overrated - lots of missed throws, especially under throwing guys.
So did Indiana this year. So what?Got to untangle those two -- 2-10 Arkansas is pretty helpless, but 7-5 TAMU at least punches their weight.
I thought they said on the game yesterday Burrow was a 3 star, which just helps your point. Kid looks great - hard to believe he was a 3 star (if true).Burrow was a 4-star. Fields was an elite 5 who was considered one of the best qb prospects in years. Not even close to the same thing.
It’s a good stat, impressive and OSU is a great team but LSU beat Auburn, Alabama and Georgia - just because they didn’t blame them 3 weeks in a row doesn’t really matter, IMO.So did Indiana this year. So what?
What OSU did over the past 3 weeks hasn't been accomplished in 34 years. LSU beating A&M is![]()
I'm not surprised LSU got #1, but I do find it surprising that some people think OSU passed LSU last week by beating Michigan, and this week simply reversed what happened last week. It's like OSU passing LSU before even playing Michigan didn't even happen. It’s a good stat, impressive and OSU is a great team but LSU beat Auburn, Alabama and Georgia - just because they didn’t blame them 3 weeks in a row doesn’t really matter, IMO.
IMHO Michigan and TAMU are fairly close in quality despite the rankings and records. I don’t anticipate that we’ll agree.LSU beating A&M is![]()
Peach Bowl in Atlanta and the Fiesta Bowl in the Phoenix AZ area. IIRC, #1 selects their location - LSU is expected to choose Atlanta.Where are the locations of the playoffs this year?
That is interesting. Isn't the final in your neck of the woods?Peach Bowl in Atlanta and the Fiesta Bowl in the Phoenix AZ area. IIRC, #1 selects their location - LSU is expected to choose Atlanta.
I'm sorry. Did you say something. I was yawning really hard.IMHO Michigan and TAMU are fairly close in quality despite the rankings and records. I don’t anticipate that we’ll agree.
I never replied to that - I misspoke. Not sure how that changes anything but yes, they passed them after Penn State. I still think LSU’s resume is more impressive.I'm not surprised LSU got #1, but I do find it surprising that some people think OSU passed LSU last week by beating Michigan, and this week simply reversed what happened last week. You'd be correctIMHO Michigan and TAMU are fairly close in quality despite the rankings and records. I don’t anticipate that we’ll agree.
Won't matterBama v Michigan / Saban v Harbaugh in the Citrus will be entertaining...off the field at least. (Bama may be missing 40% of its starters.)
I thought that too, but ESPN said the committee will listen to the #1 seed, but they make the final decision.Peach Bowl in Atlanta and the Fiesta Bowl in the Phoenix AZ area. IIRC, #1 selects their location - LSU is expected to choose Atlanta.
Yes, final is in New Orleans. That is interesting. Isn't the final in your neck of the woods?
Tamu has the one interesting feature that like the XII entire out of conference play, their best win was versus a team that was a lifted leg away from a losing record.IMHO Michigan and TAMU are fairly close in quality despite the rankings and records. I don’t anticipate that we’ll agree.
Are you saying the location of the national championship game is chosen by one of the schools a few weeks before the game? That seems unlikely.Peach Bowl in Atlanta and the Fiesta Bowl in the Phoenix AZ area. IIRC, #1 selects their location - LSU is expected to choose Atlanta.
He was mistaken. He thought the #1 seed chose the semifinal location. The committee chooses that location. Are you saying the location of the national championship game is chosen by one of the schools a few weeks before the game? That seems unlikely.
Sure, but these games have to be scheduled minimum 3-4 years in advance. He was mistaken. He thought the #1 seed chose the semifinal location. The committee chooses that location.
What is driving this considering NBA and similar playoff systems don't require anything like this.Sure, but these games have to be scheduled minimum 3-4 years in advance.
However, the schools in running for the 1 seed turn in which semifinal they want.He was mistaken. He thought the #1 seed chose the semifinal location. The committee chooses that location.
Atlanta and Phoenix are the locations of the semi-final games this season. The championship game is in New Orleans. Not exactly sure what you mean...pre-set locations vs top seeds hosting? It’s no different timing wise than the Super Bowl. What is driving this considering NBA and similar playoff systems don't require anything like this.
These venues bid to host these games, they don’t play at a home stadium. What is driving this considering NBA and similar playoff systems don't require anything like this.
And they are so full of events on their calendar they can't possibly make room for one game? These venues bid to host these games, they don’t play at a home stadium.
The existing bowl system has lots of hands in the cookie jar.And they are so full of events on their calendar they can't possibly make room for one game?
NBA venues book tons of concert events, are they just banned from making X nights dark in the playoff season?

Always rated too high, always set up to lose.Oh cool, I can watch Michigan lose another Bowl game here in Florida.
All they have to do is win the games. They won't do enough of that with Harbaugh.Always rated too high, always set up to lose.
If you lose, you’ll have nothing.Convince me to not bet everything on Clemson -2 vs OSU and Auburn -8 vs. Minnesota.
The Semi games are of course still part of the Bowl system:These venues bid to host these games, they don’t play at a home stadium.
Look Leroy, the ONLY bowl game around here that matters is Beef O’Brady Bowl - this year featuring Marshall and Central Florida.Check out the awesome early part of the bowl schedule,
