tOSU/Bama was a good game in the first playoffI’d argue 3, Bama/Clemson 1 and 2, then OU/UGA. The point remains.
Doesn't have to go even 15 teams deep. 5-7 teams would be better than it is at present. And I wouldn't put 10-12 teams deep as an impossibility. The talent never has and never will be distributed in college football.
I’m fine with 8, but only if we guarantee each of the P5 champs is in as well as the top G5, then 2 WCs but not more than two from any conference.Given the #4 seed has won the playoff 40% of the time, I can't believe we are actually having an argument about going back to only 2.
I refuse to agree to guaranteed conference champs.... unless all the conferences get rid of divisions. The top 2 teams in a conference should play in the conference championship game.... not some 8-4 team from a crappy division.I’m fine with 8, but only if we guarantee each of the P5 champs is in as well as the top G5, then 2 WCs but not more than two from any conference.
I’m pretty sure the only place this “argument” exists is on this message board when people get boredGiven the #4 seed has won the playoff 40% of the time, I can't believe we are actually having an argument about going back to only 2.
We’re not. I’m fine with 4. Anymore is a mess imoGiven the #4 seed has won the playoff 40% of the time, I can't believe we are actually having an argument about going back to only 2.
What happens when a 7-5 division winner pulls an upset in a conference title game. Just pick the best teams.I’m fine with 8, but only if we guarantee each of the P5 champs is in as well as the top G5, then 2 WCs but not more than two from any conference.
But you do have to allow the odd Clemson to come out of nowhere. (this isn't the best example, but bear with me on the fact that they were a 3rd tier program for 20 years, then blew up.) Those teams tend to get left out, where now they are allowed in.The talent never has and never will be distributed in college football.
I can agree with this. Clemson’s rise is extremely weird. But you do have to allow the odd Clemson to come out of nowhere. (this isn't the best example, but bear with me on the fact that they were a 3rd tier program for 20 years, then blew up.) Those teams tend to get left out, where now they are allowed in.
It's madness I tell you. MADNESS!We’re not. I’m fine with 4. Anymore is a mess imo
Rodnald is a ####### national treasure. And I love that he managed to spell Cincinnati rightIn other Joe Burrow news, Rodnald Silks joined the FBG Shark Pool group on Facebook, and the masses are angry.![]()
Then the higher ranked team shouldn’t have lost to the 7-5 team. What happens when a 7-5 division winner pulls an upset in a conference title game. Just pick the best teams.
That’s ridiculous. Then the higher ranked team shouldn’t have lost to the 7-5 team.

thans for the inviting!
It looks like that was 56 in the second half.
This is the right answer. That way the Capellas of the world get their "eye test" Alabama in every year and the rest of us get our "results on the field" champs and small school dreamers in every year. Also, quarters should be on campus of the top 4 conference champs.I’m fine with 8, but only if we guarantee each of the P5 champs is in as well as the top G5, then 2 WCs but not more than two from any conference.
Pretty sure SEC refs are doing the OSU/CLEM game. Are they PAC 12 refs?
Wait, seriously? Pac12 refs are the worst in the country. And I say that as a Pac12 guy.Pretty sure SEC refs are doing the OSU/CLEM game.
Pac12 in final game
yep. Pac12 refs got final game. They are horrible so kinda sucks.Wait, seriously? Pac12 refs are the worst in the country. And I say that as a Pac12 guy.
Ouch. Terrible. Makes sense cause they have no team in the playoff, but DOESN'T make sense from a quality of reffing standpoint.yep. Pac12 refs got final game. They are horrible so kinda sucks.
Bum knee. Not sure he could have made the corner and not sure it would have been worth the injury risk to his knee trying.I thought maybe he should have kept running- he slowed down, could he have gotten to the outside?
