2020-21 NBA *Playoffs* Thread: Bucks are the champs and you can take that to the bank bromigos (3 Viewers)

also you tools who dis chris paul are awful quiet :)

amazing performance for the oldest and shortest dude on the court. cheers to him. well-deserved.
He played some amazing ball tonight.  First time since he came back that the offense has looked good.   He also had some great flops at key moments.

Would love to see him banned from the league for a season.  Dude is just a dirty player.   Always has been.   He’s earned a long suspension for cumulative bad behavior.
Dude's a dirt bag.  Won't miss if him.  I doubt he'll miss an entire season.  But wouldn't mind it at all.

As a Kentucky guy, over the moon for Booker.

As an NBA fan, good for you Chris Paul.  Dude's been elite for a long long time and been stuck in a league with LeBron and Steph, and it just hasn't been his time.

Paul just diving :lmao:
I was a fan of his way back when.  Also thought Phoenix winning something would be nice.  Now, in a Final I normally could not give a #### about, I want anyone but the flop king.  It's actually worse than flopping, it's really bad acting.  Incredibly annoying.  And the fact he celebrates getting away with it, too.

it doesn't bother me in the slightest, but few things do. i guess we're just different. but when cousins swiped his forearm into paul's neck, chris pretty much had a choice. hold his ground and shrug it off. or get the official's attention with some acting. a smart basketball player acts there. a dumb one doesn't. boogie was out of control and firing an elbow, inadvertant or not, he landed. you want the ball back? you want a free throw? you have to force the official's hand. what annoyed you made me smile.

Oof. The flopping and complaining is bastardizing the league. What you call a smart play by acting I call a lack of integrity. I simply cannot ever get behind a guy pretending to be hurt. Says something about that persons entire core belief system. That’s my opinion.

What’s almost worse than a person who flails around the floor like a WWE wrestler is the constant stops in play for reviews of these nonsensical plays.

Come on. It is just a game.

If it were just a game, they wouldn’t pretend to get hurt. The stakes are high, so high, that players are willing to embarrass themselves on national TV multiple times a game for the sole purpose of tricking the referees to call a foul.

It’s such a easy problem to fix. Huge fines for flopping, immediate turnover if you complain about a call. Done.

See you tonight!

No excuse for what Beverly did, but I have said for years that the NBA should hand out T's and fines for clear flopping.  If they review the tape the next day and see that someone clearly flopped, hammer them with a fine. The fact that NBA officials fall for the flops and the NBA refuses to do much about them tells me that they are all good with it.

Despite Beverly's cheap shot, I did chuckle at Paul laying on the ground after it like he had just gotten shot, but that is par for the course for a Grade A flopper like him.

That I can some what agree with. The hyperbole of it tells you their entire core belief system is too much. You are acting like your are the psychic hotline trying to read their souls for 9.95 a minute.

Flopper or not, Paul was a top 5 pg of all time prior to this (and last) season. What he did in OKC and this year is what he will be remembered for — not exaggerating to get calls. He wins the title, he is arguably only behind Magic.

Magic

Paul (if he wins a title)

Stockton

?

The point guard position has changed so much since I started watching basketball (the 70s).

CP3 seems to be more like the old school variety.

I just wanna know what Flop King said to Beverly to make him do that.
looks like it was Kaminsky flapping his gums and Pat Bev took it out on Chris Paul

something 95% of the league has wanted to do for 15-16 years

eta: the guys on DP show this morning ran the video and you can clearly see Kaminsky saying something to Beverley right before he reacts, turns and shoves Paul.  doubtful that Beverley thought it was Paul talking, but frustration and... him being him... got the best of him.

And all those steals, the guys just gave him the basketball!  OVERRATED!
I was thinking the same thing.

The 1997 Jazz team was one of the biggest threats to the Bulls dynasty.  Stockton was a great player on both ends of the floor for over a decade.

Frank Kaminsky talking trash after getting carried to a WCF title when he is barely still in the league  :lmao:

Speaking of the Wolves, since you all asked, remember the name Leandro Bolmaro. He's coming over for Summer League, which probably means he'll be staying for the NBA Season as well.

From this angle, he may not have said anything at all.

Video
Huh?  He gave him the full F U, bring it, stare-down.  That's an invite on the streets.  Beverly didn't care where the hell was anymore and the game was over.

I actually loved it.  He baited him.  Beverly actually didn't take it at first, but his season was over and on second thought, couldn't resist.  Then Paul predictably acted like it was murder attempt.  It was my most thoroughly enjoyed moment of the game.

LOL at suspending him for the year you pansies.  Those Pistons teams never would've seen court.

cuz Italian point guards have been the key to so much Timberwolf glory?

You're acting like Beverly never baits and flops.

They keep doing it because it works (for the most part) in games at that moment.  To remove it you need to review film and fine/suspend repeat offenders for obvious flops.  This is easy to see on replay.  It would slow down too much to do it in game but review every game and start suspending guys for blatant flops.  That will stop in in real time.
