Fun Jokic stats of the day:

  • Jokic has lead the Nuggets in points, rebounds, and assists in 35 of the 66 games he has played this year, including each of the last 10 games.
  • He has lead the Nuggets in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks in 13 games this year. The rest of the NBA COMBINED has done that 13 total times. The previous record for a player (since 1982) was Lebron in 17-18. (All per Katy WInge's Twitter).
  • Jokic has lead the Nuggets in at least one of points, rebounds, or assists in every game this year.
  • Jokic is leading the Nuggets in PPG, RPG, APG, SPG, and BPG this season.

good one tonight....PHX at DEN.....

PHX on a back to back...not sure if they rest guys or not....but at DEN and the altitude on the second half of a back to back is often a circled spot for resting guys....

Utah and Denver have consistently had the easiest path to winning games at home for the last 25 years because of the number of back to backs for opponents and long travel nights  more often traveling east to west). Alternatively, they have consistently had the hardest road schedules for the opposite reason - #### loads of long travel nights (often traveling west to east and losing two hours of sleep) with ####ty back to backs.

Denver, Utah, and to a lesser extent Phoenix have always caused some strange scheduling quirks that make for unfair settings for one team or another.

Utah-Denver back to backs were a  much more common thing up until a couple years ago when the NBA tried to eliminate that for opposing teams because it was so unfair.

Bulls continue their free fall. No defense at all. You'd like to think they'll turn it back around but no Lonzo return looks in sight (can't run for next 7 days....cant imagine he's playing basketball again this year) and it's hard to wish DeRozan was going to keep playing at an MVP candidate level as earlier in year.

Booker with 49 and Suns clinch home court 💪 in a game with a lot of offense

9 games better than next best team.
The Nuggets had no answer for him.

I was at the game and the arena was at least 25% Suns fans. The stalemate between Kroenke and Comcast is killing the fanbase. For 90% of the area, we haven't been able to (legally) watch a game on TV for 3 full seasons now. The NBA needs to step in to fix it.

That's crazy.

I don't even see how that makes sense on any level. Did notice on TV a lot of Suns fans......which I don't think I've ever heard for a road game 🤣

Memphis rolling my Bucks tonight...without Morant. Grizzlies are a legit contender.

Miami, meanwhile, is a damn trainwreck. I bet PJ wishes he'd taken less to stay in Milwaukee.

I'd be trying to avoid one of the top 2 seeds too if I were the Heat. Possible first round matchup vs. Brooklyn? Brutal.

The only question right now with Brooklyn is likely defense. I'm doubting he ends up back (no pun) this year but Ben can definitely provide that.

Yes, Memphis is so good. They beat the Nets without JA earlier this week.

i was only able to watch the first half. KAT's amazing, but the Celts got him to completely forget his teammates and that winning is the reason for playing. they do stuff like that - hopefully basketball "citizenship" will become a trend...

Suns 💪

Embiid was a beast. I don't know how the end of that contract will turn out down the road, but Paul is so fun to watch.

Melo Balls went under the radar year 2 but he was absolutely phenomenal today vs. Brooklyn.

I'd be surprised if the Warriors win the title. Draymond looks like doo doo and Klay has been inconsistent. Curry wasn't even playing his best before his was injured.

interesting angle on half the Celtics team hanging back for the 2nd half of a back2back in Toronto last nite. Brian Windhorst checked for previous comments on whether Tatum & Brown are immunized and could only find "no comment"s. hmmmmm.....

Bucks/Sixers tonight should be a good one.  Sounding like everyone will play for Milwaukee, which is mildly surprising given their obvious goal of making sure that everyone is rested and healthy for the playoffs.  I fully expect Harden to disappear as is his tendency in big games.

The 3 seed is the most desirable one in the East.... not sure if I want Philly to win or lose tonight, but I would like them to end the year in that 3 spot.

Giannis 40-14-6 and the game-saving block on Embiid in a 2-point win tonight for the Bucks. Absolutely criminal that he’s not in the MVP conversation.

Everyone says it's a clear top 3 in some order, including Giannis. 🤷‍♂️
Most recent NBA straw poll would suggest otherwise. Giannis only got 9/100 first-place votes versus 62 for Jokic and 29 for Embiid.

This despite Giannis being in contention for both the scoring title and DPOTY. I don’t get it.

So where does Lebron play next year
I'd guess he stays in LA for the year. He is committed to living the Hollywood life at this point. Maybe the only thing that could drag him away from that (which I think he was pretty serious about) is playing with Bronny. And even that would only be for a year.

Nice return for Paul George tonight. I could see them pulling an upset over Minny. PG is a pretty prolific playoff choke artist, but maybe with some fresh legs off the injury will help him show up. Use these couple of weeks to help him get up to game speed, then let him go in the play-in/offs.

From a basketball standpoint that would be a real shame.

Can I just say how much I'm loving basketball these past couple of years now with Lebron's influence waning in his twilight years, and the NBA is now moving back to it's traditional Power Duo format across the league? Gone is the Big 3 at all costs mentality that has plagued the league since Bron got to....well, Miami really. In fact I find it ironic that the Lakers (the last standing Big 3 formed via non-draft means) is one of the worst off teams in the NBA.

No more seasons where you know there are only 2 or 3 teams making it to the Finals from Day 1 in October.

The league feels wide open. There are legitimately 6-8 teams right now that if they catch fire at the right time, it wouldn't surprise me if they won the trophy. This is due to a better distribution of talent around the league.

I've heard others been saying it, and I'm finding it harder and harder to disagree. When the day comes soon, the association will be better off without LeBron.

Don't blame em. Dude will be 33 at the start of next season for a guy who hasn't been able to get over the playoff hump. He could make his own fortune with such an extension if he was able to bring a trophy to Philly this year though.

Article explains that even though Harden gives better production then a Simmons less team he hasn't been as advertised either including the fact some don't feel Harden has launched them in the best team in the East Category. Either way you slice it even if they win the title is extending Harden that long worth it? Many have said if Harden gets the contract he wants it might be the worst one in league history. Age and salary would make him untraceable.

I've been laughed at for yrs for saying these things The original big 3 was Boston though when KG went to them. Either way the old forum I belonged too I got ridiculed and had the typical response of "want to see the best players play with one another" etc. I told them I found the league more enjoyable when guys wanted to compete against one another then team with their friends and anything negative said about them they get their panties in a bunch.

Also Ironic how Lebron chose to go west so late in his career too.

Bulls reporter and Sideline guy for Bulls broadcasts is reporting the Bulls only have interest in trading Nikola Vucevic this summer for another all star Big. Names Anthony Davis, Rudy Goebart and Ayton

AD has been shooting like absolute ### since the bubble.  I wouldn't even want him.

I'm starting to think that I want the Bucks to get Brooklyn in the first round.  You're probably gonna have to play them eventually, and I'd prefer doing it when I know that Giannis, Khris, and Jrue are all rested and healthy.

They really needed to keep one of Curry or Drummond.  Trading both killed their bench and they didn't replace them at all.
