I would like to thank all of the teams in the league who were interested in trading for Tarasenko for trying to acquire him for peanuts.  The Blues refused to trade him for little and now he looks great again and is playing with a chip on his shoulder. 👍

With the lawsuit / investigation hanging over the orgs head would any new coach want to join the Hawks? I guess they could just make Crawford the interim but would that make any appreciable difference?

There are only 32 HC jobs in the NHL. I don't think most coaches are in a position to turn down an opportunity like that if offered.

Didn't Seth Jones have his best years under Tortorella? Or, go a different direction, and bring in Boudreau. Regardless, this team has never defended well under Colliton.

Just seems to me that taking a job under Bowman is inherently risky until the lawsuit / investigation is complete. If he gets the axe, the means a new president and GM, who traditionally want their guy. :shrug:

And unfortunately IMO, Jones best years are far behind him.

Washed =/= to best years behind him, just meant he's not the #1 that Bowman thought he was. Jones hasn't looked good this year and was awful last year and not very good the season before that.

I don't understand how a player that used to be good becomes so terrible in his mid-20s. Have to believe a good coach could turn his game around.

 
Hawks having a 1pm news conference to release the findings of the investigation. Bowman won't be a part of it and per Lazerus Rocky and Danny will be announcing multiple organizational changes.

@lukefoxjukebox: Bettman says he plans to arrange personal meetings in the near future with Quenneville and Cheveldayoff to discuss their roles in the relevant events as detailed in the report: "I will reserve judgment on next steps, if any, with respect to them."

 
Nikita Kucherov will miss 8-10 weeks after having surgery on a lower body injury. I’m sure the comments by opposing fans will be hilarious, but Tampa will continue to win games anyway.

I gave my tix away to one of my son's teachers.  I am disgusted by the coverup. Sharp and Kane teasing Beech about the abuse is beyond awful and confirms stories I've heard about those two over the years.  I was heartened that the official report said that ownership wasn't aware of the allegations and I am glad that all members of management who covered it up are gone..

The NHL would have to step in and make this happen and I think them doing that is doubtful at best.  The Panthers are off to a good start and the NHL investigation into the abuse said there was no wrongdoing by the Blackhawks which is obviously complete BS.

 
If the NHL wanted Q gone he would have already been gone. He certainly wouldn’t have coached tonight.
 

Tomorrow will be a useless meeting with Bettman followed by a PR about how remorseful Q is, how he is making a donation to a sexual assault charity, and also he will strive to be a better person in the future.

I was really disappointed and disgusted by both Kane and Toews interviews. Summarizing that they both were saying that they respect Bowman and MacIsaac and Toews especially talking about how it's kind of unfair they are both gone for a mistake.

It sucks, but you're likely correct here. Both he and Cheveldayoff will barely get slaps on the wrist.

 
@charlieo_conn: Also, I feel bad harping on this, but watching last night's game, I remain astounded that Darnell Nurse got a contract with a $9.25 mil cap hit this summer. Fine player, but damn. I just never see him control games the way a player worthy of that investment should.

It’ll be fun watching Tampa beat his teams again, if that happens, but this whole situation is awful.
