2021 Buffalo Bills - Same as it ever was*** (3 Viewers)

Corey Graham cleared to play Sunday. That's huge. Total BS that you can get a concussion and be cleared that quickly, but good for the Bills.
I've had several concussions in my younger years, some quite severe - a couple I had almost completely blurred vision and lost some memory. However, the symptoms never lasted more than 24 hours. I think it's one of those things that affects different people differently.
Yea, but research has shown sending someone back into action so soon after a concussion -even if the symptoms go away- is really bad for your long term health. Like as in developing CDE.

Pats working out Bryce Brown.

Belicheck: Hello Bryce.

Bryce: 'What drills would you like me to perform.'

Belicheck: Drills? Oh, no, just tell us everything you can about those guys who cut you.' 'Here's fifty bucks'.
No surprise. He does this every single year when the Pats and Bills play. I'm surprised more teams don't do this actually
I've always wondered about this. Is it actually against any rules to do this or is it just an honor code type of thing?
Not against the rules at all.

And I think we all know how much value the Patriots put on honor.

That could be, as it's been a while since I read up on the subject. I thought it was entirely possible in some cases for the brain to "heal" or settle back in fairly quickly. Anyway... Go Bills!

Karlos Williams had a nice rookie debut, but I would feel a lot better right now if Fred Jackson were still on the team for some added depth and as third-down help.

I actually really like Karlos this week. The Pats are hurting in the middle up front. They ended up with Ninkovich and some other guy in the middle against the Steelers. Their DTs weighed like 265 and 240. A bruising back like Karlos could cause a lot of damage if they don't really stack the box.

And stacking the box is something I expect the Pats to do. They'll force Tyrod to win by throwing down field I think. And with Revis gone, I think he can actually do that. It wouldn't surprise me to see Watkins and Harvin have nice days with Clay doing some serious damage down the middle of the field as well.

BB playing by the rules and honoring "the code" of the shield?

Um.. Do you even pay attention at all? This is extremely common and happens all the time. Just happened last week with the Chargers and Lions.

Looks like New England will be starting their backup rookie center again this week. He got dominated pretty good by the Steelers last week. Bills DL could kill him
You sure you watched the same game as I did? He was actually pretty impressive.
I watched the game against the Steelers where a Pittsburgh defensive interior that isn't very good repeatedly mauled Andrews in the running game. And where he gave up one hit and 2 pressures against the pass rush. The interior of NE's offensive line is going to get destroyed tomorrow. It's been their biggest weakness on offense for a while now and it's even shakier right now. The best defensive interior in the league is going to feast tomorrow. My bet is that Brady averages under 1.7s to throw tomorrow.

The Pats have a VERY shady history on all sorts of things, but there's nothing wrong, illegal or uncommon about bringing in a recent cut of an opposing team to gleam some knowledge.

Don't be so humble guys, the Pats work out more FAs than literally any other team.

Also, our DTs with or without Easley on the field are Malcom Brown (320 lbs), Sealver Siliga (325 lbs) and Alan Branch (350 lbs).

It's definitely been their weakness, but they had success against Baltimore and Seattle last season with a worse offensive line. Don't be surprised if Brady still puts up 350 yards and a few TDs.

I don't think there's anything that could happen today that would truly shock me.

On this particular point, the defense made Luck look horrible last week, and he still put up ~250 and a couple TDs.

:lmao:

These Bills fans on behind the live Sportscenter set are fantastic. My favorite sign so far: "Brady Steals His Neighbor's WiFi"

Heading out to the stadium now. Pretty nervous....I think we could learn a lot about where this team is headed today.
I'm a Bills fan for the day today. I hope they physically pummel the Patsies and I really hope Tyrod does well and they show glimmers of explosiveness on offense. Wouldn't mind seeing them use Karlos Williams a bit to punish them as well. Really psyched to watch this game.

There is some fantastic signage going on in Orchard Park today.

I know everybody was excited for this week, but next week's game is more important IMO.
Oh, come on. Don't sugarcoat this... the Bills needed to win this game at home to have a credible shot at winning the division.
:lmao: at the division. get real.

wild card, dude. that's the goal. always has been.

If you don't set your sights high enough, you'll never achieve the ultimate goal. Every other division has regular turnover at the top and last-to-first happens every year at least once.

you can't expect to compete for the division with this many awful penalties.

realistically, I don't think anyone gave the Bills a shot at winning the division this year once Brady's suspension was voided.

I'm with you on this one.

Baby steps. Today is crushing, especially since Ryan's bluster got the fans all hyped up for it, but this is still a team on the rise.

I'm w/ OC. F*** the loser mentaility itt. Ya know the '80 Browns/Eagles beat the Steelers/Cowboys after getting owned for a decade. As did a zillion other teams after rival dynasties had their 15yr run. Not the Bills though. We're just going to be Tommy's personal b!tch until he's 48.

Ho hum this dink&dunk offense w/ OL rookies galore just puts up 40pts on our 1/3 Billion $DL in our building every year. $ well spent. Maybe we can trade for another RB!

The one takeaway from this game is that I'd really like to see the offense spread it out more... it makes too much sense given all of the quickness they have at the skill positions. That doesn't preclude you from running it 60% of the time - just put your players in space instead of crowding everyone in in 2-TE sets.

Ouch.

The stats to explain this game -

Tom Brady, sacked 2 times.

Tyrod Taylor, sacked 8 times.

That should be the other way around, given our d-line and Tyrod's mobility.

Tough loss today, they just dug themselves too deep a hole. Onward and upward. Glad I stayed to the end even if it didn't work out. Brady was just on today. Totally took the DL out of the game with the 1.5-second release times.

Also loved to see the Patriots go for it on 4th and 1 a few times - and they should've gone for it on that 4th at the end before settling for the field goal. Classic Bills ##### playcalling to punt from the Patriots 41 at some point on a 4th and 3. JUST. #######. GO. FOR. IT.

Undisciplined penalties have been a hallmark of Rex's teams, and it looks like this team will be no different. They just didn't look ready today. A little adversity hit and they totally fell apart.

Apparently our seats have 2 half-rows in front of us for visitors players' comp tickets - it explains why last week they were entirely empty. Had Garoppalo, Dobson, and #67 (not sure his name) with their comp tickets in front of us. #67's like entire family was there, very respectful, but one of his friends was one of the most belligerent fans I've seen in a long time. Felt kinda bad for 67's family, they looked like they wanted to be anywhere but there any time he got into it with Bills fans.

Rex is great at getting his guys to talk crap...Brady, Edelman & co. should visit Williams in the hospital... congratulate him on a nice try, wish him well and leave him tape of his personal foul penalties so he can review and improve his weak-### game. HA!

Hugely disappointing loss. Just way too many stupid penalties. No question Rex got out coached as well.

Still, I think I'd rather be a Bills fan than an Eagles fan right now.
