Miller, the team's rookie right guard out of Louisville, allowed three pressures of quarterback Tyrod Taylor, according to advanced statistics website Pro Football Focus, which grades every play of every NFL game. Miller's pass-blocking efficiency score, which is determined by a weighted formula that combines sacks, hits and hurries, was 91.3 -- 48th out of 51 guards scored in Week Five. For the season, Miller ranks 76th out of 77 graded guards with a score of 90.1.
Conversely, defensive tackle Marcell Dareus had the Bills' highest overall grade, particularly impressing against the run. He had three run stops on 22 snaps, and generally was disruptive behind the line of scrimmage. Dareus also finished with two quarterback hits.
Other noteworthy nuggets from PFF's grades:
• Quarterback Tyrod Taylor had a career-high grade for the third straight week, with his ability as a rusher largely the reason for that.
• Chris Hogan was the Bills' top-graded receiver, catching all three of his targets in 24 offensive snaps.
• None of the Bills' three running backs forced a single missed tackle on 18 carries. Taylor, meanwhile, forced five missed tackles.
• Mario Williams received the lowest grade on the Bills' defense, with PFF giving him his first negative grade against the run and, despite getting a sack of Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota, another negative grade as a pass rusher.
• Rookie cornerback Ronald Darby allowed three catches on five targets, but those plays went for a total of just 20 yards. Darby also posted his best score of the season in run defense. In what was a good day for the Bills' secondary, cornerback Stephon Gilmore and safety Corey Graham each both receiving positive grades. Gilmore allowed just two catches on six targets and had an interception, while Graham gave up two catches on three targets for only 19 yards.
