2021 College football thread - Auburn’s gotta Auburn. (1 Viewer)

So let me get this straight.  If you key on heisman candidates and keep them in check and dont settle for FGs in the red zone it puts you in a position to win?  Who knew?

Hope the UM defensive coaches take note. <_<

Sparty was only a three point today. That should have been a hint that this might happen.

BIg Ten has some strong teams, but they once again only have one elite team. Sparty might just lose out.

Baylor also choking in Fort Worth.

Enjoy being knocked out of the top 4.
Pretty much figured on this happening last week. Not losing any sleep over this one.

It’s all gravy this year for MSU my man. 2nd year coach getting them this far. I’ll take it. It’s been an absolute blast watching this team this year.

MSU with a couple big plays. Wow 15 yard penalty at five yard line pushes them to the twenty. MSU scores as Thorne hits Mosely. Gotta go for two now.

Do they though?  Who has the Big 10 beat?  They seem extremely overrated as a conference.

Good game spoilers.

Good to see Brohm having a good season. When we lived in Louisville my Dad and I were big Cardinal fans, saw lots of games and a huge Brohm fan, him being a local kid from Trinity HS. So this one stings a lot less for that reason.

It's pretty amazing that the Texas Iowa St. game isn't even on in much of the Texas area for FS1 nonsense, and instead on network Fox they air a pointless Michigan Indiana game.

Per Brett McMurphy:

Arizona defeats Cal 10-3 to end nation’s longest losing streak at 20 games. It’s Cats’ 1st win in 763 days

Game MVP goes to Cal’s COVID protocols, which sidelined 24 Cal players & 5 coaches.

Oh good, we get RGCheese for the Ducks game. Him and Mark Jones can walk off into Puget Sound together.
You don’t like him? He did the OU game last week and I thought he was solid. It is interesting that the main Disney crew is on the ESPN game.

I despise him.  He's ok at breaking down the game, but he's cheesy and not funny when he thinks he's funny.  And Jones just enables him.

Herby doesn't travel west of the Central Time Zone before the Rose Bowl.  :D

I know I've been bearish in the Ducks most of this season.  I for sure bet heavy on Ohio State to dust them and was delighted to be wrong but they don't have style points in narrow wins over Cal, Fresno or Arizona and that loss to Stanford was just weird.

But I'll say this - the Ducks are going to pulverize Washington this Sat.  Lay the 7.  Over-his-skis Jimmy Lake flapped his gums earlier about UW having higher recruiting standards than Oregon and compared his obstacle to that of Stanford.  Uh, okay Jimmy.

1. UW is not in the same solar system as Stanford academically.

2.  Oregon is cleaning your clock in recruiting and it has nothing to do with your rigorous academic standards.  Maybe beat Montana to keep recruits from flipping to Oregon?  Could help, I dunno.

Lake will be looking for a job before Xmas and likely sooner, especially after Oregon wins this one by 30.

Ducks are garbage.

@osgators: First-time HC facing a massive rebuild, playing a third-string QB leads #Gators 20-10. Rock bottom coming into focus.

Jameson Williams blows the top off for a bomb td. 20-7 Bama

This after Bama got another turnover recovery.

LSU Davis-Price rips off 40 yard run to put LSU at goal to go at nine yard line. Game just got tight.
