2021 College football thread - Auburn’s gotta Auburn. (1 Viewer)

I am....I'm an alum..I root for two teams ....Beavs and the ducks opponent

I have many friends in your camp.  Went to neither school, but native Oregonian so I tend to root for both schools.  Yes, I'm one of those.  Good luck tonight.

Ha…spent the day with family and just watched the game. Typical Kelly blowing it in any game that matters. Good call on benching Pyne thus far for Coan genius. Fire Kelly.

I feel bad watching Indiana’s defensive players make some good stops, celebrate a little, only to remember their offense still exists immediately before their joy and soul leaves their bodies.

Platypus....it's cool man.  I totally get that.  I was at OSU when our current coach, then QB,  led us to the fiesta bowl victory over Notre Dame.....back then it was a crazy intense rivalry.....I have no love for the quacks

Immediately followed by a failed third down and a blocked FG they attempted down 3 TD’s late in the 3rd quarter. My under 53.5 on this game already started drinking wine

Northwestern is bad this year, but damn Nebraska is taking out a lot of frustration for how the season has gone so far. Most points scored since they've been in the B1G.

ASU tends to disappoint me but I think they might screw around and beat UCLA. The bar I ended up in here in Green Bay :towelwave:  put it on for me because I’m a ####### delight.

@Brett_McMurphy: Seven more AP Top 25 teams have lost so far today. That’s 32 losses by ranked teams this year if you’re scoring at home*

*Or at a bar

Winner.  Would be awfully fun if PAC12 N comes down to the Civil War.  Wouldn't mind that at all.  J Smith is the right guy.  LITERALLY starting from the bottom now he/they here.

Brian Harsin now has more wins in Baton Rouge, Athens, or Tuscaloosa than Malzahn ever did.

Harsin 1-0 against those 3 away from Auburn.

Malzahn was 0-14.

Gary Andersen burned it down.....Smith is TOTALLY the right guy

Wish he’d go away already. Makes the sport like 80% less interesting. We’re all just sitting around waiting for a game in mid-January already. Blows.
Not me. I enjoy the regular college football season much more than the (still pretty great) postseason. What bothers me is that most of the talk is about the CFP instead of all of the fun each weekend in the Fall. There are a million games on every Saturday and many of them turn out to be entertaining. I know we're gonna get the same-old same-old in January, but I'm good watching games between teams that have no shot at the CFP if the game is fun.

College hoops is trending this way, too. It's all about the NCAAT from November on, but I love watching games being played in some sweaty barn in mid-January when it's cold outside.

I guess I'm a "the journey's the thing" person.

Agree on enjoying the ride…it’s also not like Nadal romping everyone on clay…there have been crazy games and finishes along that journey. Manziel throwing passes to himself, Ole Miss throwing bombs off heads, 2nd and 26, the chaotic results on the Plains including the Kick Six…

I should have caveated my post by saying the team I follow (Maryland) is never in the national conversation for the CFP, so some may think I'm sour-grapes-ing it. But I truly mean what I say. Even if I were a Bama or OSU fan, I'd be the same way.
