2021 Dallas Cowboys - SIZZLER Open for a limited time. SF @ DAL (1 Viewer)

Still think our coaching is rough.

Defense looked fantastic overall today. Just so much better than last season it's unbelievable.

Pollard looked like a beast too. Starting to get my hopes up for the season overall.

D gave up a lot of yards, thought they looked like a middle of the pack D.  Of course that is a big improvement.

Diggs keeps looking better, have hope for him.

Parsons at DE was awesome. Dude was beating the tackle on almost every play. Hes going to be REALLY tired today.
A sack and a nice tackle for a loss. Great job by the rookie, and looking like we got lucky with him sliding to Dallas. This defense held Herbert and that offense in their house to 6 points in the second half. So much improvement, especially without Tank & Gregory.

Also very proud of Dak being a great game manager yesterday. Leaned on the running game while also completing 23-27 passes. He’s such a stud leader. (I can’t believe there was ever talk about Wentz being so much better than Dak😂). We got him in the fourth round. Wow.

We're missing EVERYONE on the DL. The book is out on Parsons so Im sure the Eagles are going to try and rough him up. I don't think it can be done.

Im happy their coach came out with the shirts. I hope that lights a fire.

I think Sirianni is a likeable dope and a very good OC from what Ive seen so far. This will be tougher than expected.

Our defense looked all pro against that team. Need to temper expectations a little bit, the Eagles are a god awful hot mess of a team. Hurts isnt NFL capable.

Im excited for what the defense will look like at the end of the season (as long as nobody else gets hurt).

I didn’t think so. Philly had some big plays and missed done big ones also

But Yeah, Hurts was awful

Best I’ve seen the D look in years. First time they’ve looked like a complete team in eons. Usually they can’t stop the run. Wouldn’t know that with Sanders getting 2 carries. Moronic

Yeah, that was weak

Still missed open throws and threw a bad pick
Oh, I really wasn't trying to defend Hurts that much, I just would expect a coach to try and help out what is essentially a rookie QB. Nagy in Chicago with no additional protection for Fields is another example. When offensive coaches come up with that bad a game plan, I wonder, how exactly are you running an NFL football team?

Agreed for sure

So I think two things could derail the Cowboys this year:

1) I just put money on them to win the NFC east at -185. Sorry about that guys, the other 3 teams are dumpster fires and the Cowboys have a good team this year.

2) Mike McCarthy. It is inexplicable to me why he gave up a possession and a chance to score at the end of the first half yesterday. Especially with the Eagles getting the ball first at the start of the second half. The Eagles had the ball 2nd and 31 on their own 25 yard line with 1:40 left. The Cowboys had all 3 timeouts. The Eagles complete a quick slant for 7 making it 3rd and 24, the Cowboys elect not to call time out, and the Eagles let the clock run down to just over a minute before hiking it on 3rd down. the Eagles complete a screen for about 17 yards and are tackled in bounds and again Dallas does not call time out, and the Eagles punt it back to the Cowboys with only about 20 seconds on the clock. Dallas takes a knee and it is halftime.

Decisions like this in the playoffs turn playoff wins into playoff losses.

I will continue to be optimistic because DAK, because Dan Quinn has the defense doing anything better than last season...but I will continue to beat the drum that we have a bottom five coach and it's gonna suck for a long time.

Bottom 5 coaches dont win Superbowls. He isnt the greatest coach of all time but this narrative mostly echoed by former Green Bay fans is overstated. Bottom five is hyperbole.

He's better than Jason F. Garrett, that Im sure of.

Garrett's not a head coach anymore. But also yeah agreed lol.

Dallas stealing CeeDee and Diggs last year in the draft are going to pay dividends for this franchise. Haters that were questioning why they take Lamb when they have Cooper and Gallup already are finding out exactly why. That 44 yard catch on the first series was a highlight reel. And Diggs was first round talent that fell to us in the second. What a baller! He shuts down the great hyped Eagles rookie Skinny Smith who went 3-28 and has basically changed the reputation of our struggling secondary into a respectable force we needed. Now this year we get another top 5-10 talent in Parsons, who is killing it. I was at the game and watched him every play and his drive is full blown for 60 minutes. He had 4 tackles(one for a loss), and a sack- plus numerous QB pressures that Hurts barely escaped from (Hurts is fast if nothing else)... All this at a position he hasn’t played since high school 😳.  This rookie is LEGIT! The best part is Dallas trades down two spots with our rivals in this draft and still gets the guy they coveted in Parsons, plus practically steals Philly’s 3rd rounder for it and we draft Chauncey Golston with that pick. Golston comes in his first game on a part time rotation and records three tackles. Ironically his tackles equal the amount of catches (3) that Philly’s number one draft pick had all game...... on 39 attempts 😳.

Although it’s a bad team this defense faced, we got to love the direction it’s going. Quinn was a helluva hire as DC and considering we were without 7 starters on defense, these guys obliterated the Eagles. The score was closer than it should have been. Now we may be hampered on some of the McCarthy decisions (clock management), but we have to hope that Quinn and Kellen Moore continue to be the creative force to get this team to where we all want it to be. If we can win a Super Bowl with drunken Switzer, then winning with MM wearing the generals cap is very doable. 😎

Any updates on Gallup's progress?  I know he is eligible to come back next week. Will he or is he further away?  Could see them holding him out until after the bye week 7.

Congrats on the win on Monday. I easily acknowledge that the Eagle's got their butts kicked on Monday, and I concede that Dallas will win the NFC East this year. As to the bolded, I think even a drunk Switzer would have put his hot dog down on the sideline and used his timeouts to get an extra possession at the end of the first half of Monday's game. McCarthy is not that smart.

Lol, you may be right. MM is not the brightest crayon in the box. However, the double failed fourth and one runs “load left” play call that Switzer did that year probably still puts him in at least equivalent to McCarthy.🤦🏻

I just wanted to drop by to say: Diggs looks like a stud playmaker, he was everywhere on Monday night. I loved watching him play and look forward to watching him more and more.
