2025 Buffalo Bills (3 Viewers)

Brutal article on McDermott out. It all rings true 😢

I sold my tickets to the Dallas game, not sure I can stomach sitting in the cold to watch them nearly win and choke it away at the end with bad game management.

Maybe that will be a reverse jinx and it will be an amazing win I missed out on. It is just so hard to overcome bad game day coaching.
Not been a very good last couple of weeks.

Can’t get a whole lot worse PR-wise than a star player being arrested for assaulting a pregnant girlfriend and the team doing nothing about it and it coming out that the head coach thought it was a good idea to use the 9-11 terrorists as an example for good teamwork.

Just saw that. That is the most bizarre story I think I've seen about an NFL coach. Why would anyone ever think that would be a good idea?!

Well, the stars are aligning this week for you guys.

Pacheco OUT
Tranquill (LB) OUT
Cook (S) OUT
Smith (LT) OUT

Not to mention you guys are coming off the bye week, so you will be rested and mad and desperate. Chiefs look like crap this year and the injuries don't help. I think you guys win this rather easily. Something like:

Bills 31 - Chiefs 17

Hey, look! It's the annual "ChiefD says the Bills will beat the Chiefs" post.

;)

I really mean it this time.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the Bills won by double digits. They have loads of more offensive firepower and the Chiefs are down so,e key players. I have waited and waited for the Chiefs to “get back on track”, it just feels like it is not happening at this point.

Yeah, they ain’t getting back on track. This is who they are this year.

They won the whole thing last year in a year that was a rebuilding year. And not gonna win it this year in a year I thought they would be better than last year.

It’s football. They are just off this year.

I am amazed how bad this group of receivers turned out. I thought there would be some improvement over the season but that has not been the case. Kelce looks like he is a step or two slower and not the threat he was. Their run game and defense will have to be near perfect to make another run which is odd saying when you have the best QB in the NFL. You may have mentioned it before, but this team has played a lot of extra games over the years. Maybe there is a bit of burnout with some guys. I saw Justyn Ross is almost done serving his suspension, I actually thought they dropped him. I was impressed how he looked in his limites opportunities but Reid must have thought differently as he never got too much run.

And let’s not forget, if that play stood, Allen would’ve had over a minute left with all three timeouts. I’m actually a little disappointed he didn’t get to be the hero with a last second TD to Gabe Davis.

Well, what the heck. What’s life without a little hope even though the risk of another guy punch is omnipresent. Bills are playing like the best team in the NFL right now.

If they can get Epenesa, Hyde and even Daquan Jones back, that defense could be back to legit.

Love them finally feeding Cook. Would like to see them stop taking him out for Murray at the goal line too as, IMO, he’s at least as good of a short yardage runner right now as Murray.

Take the interim off of Joe Brady’s title. He’s shown enough to deserve being the OC going forward.

I’m interested to see the snap counts. I’ve seen a few mentions of Cam Lewis playing really well at safety today. Wonder if it’s time for the Bills to think about giving some of Micah Hyde’s snaps to Lewis and seeing if Lewis is their starter next year (or maybe even for playoffs this year)

I hate to throw this mojo out into the air, but doesn't this next game seem like a classic Bills' let-down game?

Chargers are a lesser team. They have a backup QB. They get the just-fired-our-coach boost. They are on extra rest. The Bills are on short rest. The Bills are coming off a big game.

Given factors like that this seems one they often choke away... :(

I hope I'm wrong. I am rooting as usual. I'm just a burned Bills fan, I guess. I couldn't help think about all that last night.

DaQuan Jones back soon?

This would be huge. He was tremendous last year and was this year as well before the injury. With Jordan Phillips likely out for a while, getting Jones back would be a huge boost to the defense. A mix of Oliver, Jones, Joseph and Settle would be :moneybag:

I hate that I’ve been conditioned to expect them to blow this, because everything is starting to line back up for them to make a legitimate run at this thing.

You're wrong. The Chargers are a steaming pile of give up right now.

Bills are gettin' scary man. They are the the LAST team I wanna see at Arrowhead in the playoffs.

The Bills have losses to the Jets, Patriots and Broncos this year. One of those and you could justify it as a letdown game that everyone has. All 3 of those? Let’s not pretend the Bills aren’t capable of totally falling on their faces.

Anyone know if this game is truly exclusively on Peacock? That is, not on NFL+, or even on locally in WNY?

If so, I need to get ahead of things and figure out how to get my old man set up with Peacock. :(

no

Will air on local Buffalo TV (not Rochester, not Southern Tier, ect) and Peacock only!

Bars with commercial Direct TV NFL Ticket will have it.

Thought we were about to witness music city miracle 2.0 when Easton stick threw it across the field, bringing me back to 6th grade and the nightmares that followed that season

James Cook's 7 points is something we'll all need to overcome, those of us in the playoffs, despite his top 5 ranking coming into the week, Addressing those folks who are in it this year now, for money, not dynasty,

Frankly, I saw the site owners asked this week about doing better. How about don't project a top 5 RB getting 7 points? That's a really big miss. Really big miss.
Huh?

Unless I’m mistaken, if the Patriots hang on here, the Bills just need to beat the Patriots next week and they lock up a playoff spot. And of course if Miami would also lose against the Ravens, that would mean both Miami and Buffalo are in the playoffs but fighting for the AFCE title and a home playoff game in Week 18.

Merry Christmas fellow Bills fans.

Hmmm, think that Seahawks and Chiefs both need to win too and that would lock it up for the Bills next week if the Bills beat the Pats.

What scenario do we need to clinch a playoff spot with a win next week?
I’d really love to play the dolphins for the division but still make it even if we lose.

Bills are in if they win and:

-Seahawks beat the Steelers
-Chiefs beat the Bengals

So it’s very possible they can clinch a spot next week.

If Panthers somehow beat the Jaguars, then only one of the Seahawks or Chiefs need to win next week to clinch.

Pretty wild that we can realistically clinch a playoff spot this weekend after how badly the bulk of the season went. Literally every game went our way except the Dolphins game. Heck, even the Jets win was a nice little cherry on top, and that didn't even affect playoff positioning.

I love going through this thread and seeing how many posters gave up on this season and said we were done.
And we know who you are so no use to editing your original posts. :)

If they hadn’t fired Dorsey, they were definitely done.
Firing Dorsey was the right move, an easy scapegoat. But the offense struggled in 2 of the last 3 games, could've easily lost either one, including to a backup QB on a team with nothing to play for. Yes, Dorsey was an easy scapegoat and we'll never know how the Bills would've performed if he hadn't been fired.

I figured they were done, and I'm happy to have been wrong about that. Glad they turned it around.

That said, there is still no excuse for losing to to teams like Denver or New England. If we had simply taken care of business, we would likely have the division locked up after this week and we'd be talking about finally having HFA after all these years. And to be clear, nobody should celebrate if we back into a WC berth and lose in the divisional round again. This team is better than that. It's not 2017 anymore.

I bought my first and only jersey ever last year. A Josh Allen Jersey. And over and over again he does stuff to make me ok with buying it. He’s not only fun to root for on the field, he says and does the right things off the field too. Such an easy guy to root for.

Daquan Jones a full participant at practice today. That’s huge. If he’s back to 100%, that defense should be clicking pretty good.

I don’t care if he plays this week. Bring him back for Miami and the playoffs.
I thought I read somewhere that Milano had a chance to return at some point this season. Is that not happening?

A week or two ago McDermott said the chances were very slim even if they go deep into the playoffs.

Tasker said on the postgame show that the locker room has been fired up for weeks about that Pats loss and will be ready to play.

If that is true I can’t wait to see it!!

Josh’s inability to calm himself down and be accurate in big games is incredibly concerning.

It’s a really good thing they won today and Miami lost because all the other games seem to be going against them. There is an actual chance that next week could come down to win and they are the #2 seed, lose and they are out of the playoffs.

Anyone have an updated scenario to get the Bills in? Win and in obviously. But what do we need if we lose?
Steelers might get a ravens team resting starters. Texans Colts winner is in, right?
