Cimini tweet:

What I’m hearing: Deebo Samuel/Jets ain’t dead yet. This sets up the possibility of the ultimate draft-night drama. Quite possible both teams waiting to see what’s available at 10 before pulling trigger. #Jets

How would they pull off a draft night trade? - I would think Deebo and the Jets would want a new deal in place.
I would imagine if this is true the 49ers already allowed JD to talk to his agent to have a new deal in place just like the Fins with Tyreek - it was announced right after the deal.

JD has the beat reporters all over the place lol

The Athletic's Connor Hughes reports there is "a lot — a lot — of chatter" about Cincinnati CB Sauce Gardner being drafted by the Jets.

The cornerback-needy Jets own the No. 4 and 10 picks. There has been buzz LSU's Derek Stingley could end up the first cornerback off the board, but Gardner was the most commonly predicted top corner for most of the offseason. Hughes reports the Gardner-to-Jets talk has been late breaking over the past 1-2 weeks. We will know soon enough.

Sauce+Wilson or Jameson would be A+

I used to hate that Jets draft blunder video out there....the fact that they included Freeman McNeil is criminal.  But I have learned to embrace it - the entire crowd chanting for Sapp while clueless Jets take another TE when they already had one  makes me crack up.....but the absolute best was Pete Roselle who knew how to drag it out for Jets fans..

NY Jets select....Fullback...."OH NO!!!"....Roger Vick - lmao

They owe us big time.

Yeah, the "Oh NO!!!!" gets me every time. Its an all time great clip.

That video is painful (even for someone like me who is a little too young to remember most of them) but objectively hilarious.

I think the Giants might be a bit stung to not get one of those top two Cb's. Feel like they will go OL with one pick, try everything in their power to move back with the other, if stuck making both picks I'm expecting WR and OL.

IMO, you gamble on Jameson here. I know they need to win now, but I think he's a game changer

Not angry about it but I think Williams was worth waiting on.  Hopefully it was the right move.

And now we wait.

I like both picks personally,  Wilson can ball.
Jets wasted top 10 picks on non premium positions AGAIN. Same #### different year. At least it wasn't safety or DT, but they neglected pass rush again when it's the most important part of the defense and they took a WR that I will bet you isn't a difference maker, he's just a guy. I hope I'm wrong, but this draft is a huge disappointment so far for me

WR is now a premium position in the NFL. Second highest paid now after QB.

And most of the top guys are drafted after pick 20. Name me the top 15 WR picks that made huge impacts for the team that drafted them in the last 15 years? Chase, Evans? That's pretty much the list. Wilson is not that guy. Like I said earlier today, I'll die on this hill. It's a bad pick. I hope I'm wrong, but I feel strongly about it.

@MoveTheSticks

The Jets came away with 3 of my Top 9 players! Thought Jermaine Johnson was in the mix for them at 10, there he was at 26. They're cooking with gas!

Officially hate our draft. On record that they blew this golden opportunity.
I know you walked this back after we jumped up for Johnson, but honestly Sauce and Wilson at 4 and 10 when you look at how crazy everyone went soon after for CBs and WRs (not to mention trades for Hollywood and AJ Brown) I think we did great here.  I was also holding out the hope that we could get Karalaftis in the 2nd, but I'm more than happy with the JJ steal.

So....who do we like at 38?

I imagine SOMEONE is going to trade up to take Willis (who we obviously aren't taking). So, assuming the Jets stay put....we need a list of 4.

Could definitely see them taking a run stopping tackle to replace Fatukasi. Saw some mocks taking Travis Jones from UCONN.

LB makes some sense, as Mosley could eventually be a cap casualty. Dean is small but great instincts and a leader. Christian Harris probably the better athlete (and bigger) but not as polished.  Saw some mocks with them targeting Muma.

Seems like there's a couple of safeties available that people like (Brisker from Penn State and Pitre from Baylor)

Would like to take a flyer on Ojabo, but I can't imagine they take a guy they wouldn't have all year.

Guess they could take a tackle prospect if they wanted to.

My personal pick...if he makes it to them...Breece Hall. You need 2 guys and he brings a different skill set than Carter.
