2024-25 NBA Thread: for the second time, somebody in Dallas hits low percentage shot that leads to a generation of conspiracy theories (83 Viewers)

Aaron Gordon would get the Jrue Holiday treatment when the Blazers put him on the block if they decided to move him and shake things up. I doubt it happens, but pretty much every playoff team would love to have him. Even some teams that missed the playoffs like the Spurs would want him.

He's pretty close to the archetype the Spurs need most (assuming his 3 isn't trash). Naz would probably be the dream, unless we end up with Flagg.

If I were Denver I would continue to make OKC run everything through Jalen Williams. He has been awful this game. His shots barely graze the rim or he dribbles into bad positions which force bad shots becauae they are late in the clock.

I am starting to think the winner of the OKC/Den series isn't just winning the West, but the title. I don't think Golden State has enough offense, T Wolves and Celtics have too many cold streaks, the Cavs are really banged up and thr Knicks and Pacers don't play enough defense.
Cold streaks you say. Would scoring 8 points in a quarter be considered a cold steak?

In my defense I typed that when it was like 13 - 4. Lol

Plus it was a quarter. Twolves went all of game one and the Celtics went two full games.

Both teams look exhausted. I hope the NBA is happy with their decision for the quick turn around

2 days is what the Dallas Stars and Winnipeg Jets are dealing with with and those teams had to travel thousands of miles to do it.
It was cute at first, but...

No shtick - why is two days between games in the NHL fine (with travel) but in the NBA it's an affront? Asking in all seriousness here.

We (people in this thread) have complained about it for years, but the NBA is a more popular league so it can get away with it.

Complained about what? Playing a game after an off-day?

I think the every other day cadence is fine/normal. The problem today is it was night game, day off, day game. That’s a tough recovery timeline. Happened in the Min/LAL series too.

Plus those lazy hockey players only play like 1/3 of their game minutes and don’t even have to jump once. Let’s see them try to handle some Thibs-level minutes.

Thib level minutes is so good. I might use that on my boss next time they give me too much work and see if they even understand me.

They glide a lot too. Basketball players actually have to run or walk every on the court. They just can't slide over there.

Okc had two straight drives for layups between 3 minutes and 2 minutes left and Denver was gassed and couldn’t protect the lane. Then shai takes 2 step back threes and a long two on the subsequent few possessions. Almost screwed the Thunder. Very confused why they didn’t keep attacking.

Well finally, we get a real answer. NBA players are soft. Thank you, citizen.
