2024 College Football Thread: Ohio State advances to play unbeaten hypothetical SEC team (3 Viewers)

Sugar Bowl at 4ET tomorrow. Guess they couldn't move that thrilling Duke - Ole Miss game up to 4 and let the Sugar Bowl play at night
Security. Both teams wanted it moved up too, but I think many are under appreciating the light vs dark aspect.

Easier to police and control crowds in the daylight. Smart move after this morning’s events to get it over with before it’s too late. I though it might move all the way up to 1 pm because of this at one point.

Like I said in the Smith thread I have 3 #1 picks next year can I trade them for #1 picks in 2027 ?

So Michigan beat Bama and Ohio State lost to Michigan and Michigan lost how many games this year ?

Crazy year good thing for Ohio State the 12 team playoff began this year.

Those shiny Oregon helmets are annoying.

Didn't even notice - too busy watching Oregon get their teeth kicked in.

**** all this. **** everything.
Oregon always loses these types of games. And by that I mean the games that mean something.

Thanks mate. That's comforting. Wish you well in life.
Even I thought this might be their year. I'm a dolt.

Feels like every bowl game has been amazing and every playoff game a dud. Don’t know what that means, if anything.

I think the playoff games are bound to be duds until the final 4 teams are left. The difference in the #5 team and the #12 team is large. Then in the second week one team hasn't played in 3+ weeks. It's easy to come out flat like Boise State did. They were outmatched anyway, but definitely looked out of game mode. Then some conference champs simply aren't all that great to be top 4 seeds. I think they will fix it. ASU and BST should not have had byes IMO. Just rank them where the computer puts them. Then all the games become better.

ETA ... Saban is an excellent analyst.
IMO rank the teams straight up but give any conference champs homefield advantage. Imagine the atmosphere for a big #5 at an underdog #12 conf champ.

It doesn't matter. It was going to be a let down for Oregon at some point but getting undressed like this is just hard to take.

I feel so empty and broken. Have not been this depressed in a long long long time.

I was right there with you. What do I know I guess?

Well the good news for Oregon the OSU drives don't last long so plenty of chances to get back in the game.
