2024 College Football Thread: Ohio State advances to play unbeaten hypothetical SEC team (1 Viewer)

Diego Pavia suing the NCAA over eligibility rules - specifically for JuCo transfers - and wants 2 more years of eligibility.

Pretty smart move, imo. And, just another consequence of the changing landscape in college sports.

The gist of the claim is that by limiting the number of years a player can play post-Juco - limits the ability to earn NIL money. And, for a player like Pavia - the NIL money he is making now for Vandy is probably the biggest paycheck he will earn in his career - can't blame him, or other similarly situated players from trying to maximize their earnings in college.

He's playing in his 5th year in college and this is his 3rd NCAA season. and he wants 2 more years?

Guys only get 4 in general

Florida just kicked a FG down 42-0. Lol.
Lmao my friend just texted me “the streak lives!” and I wrote back what streak and she said haven’t been shut out since 1988 and I wrote back “you kicked a field goal down 42-0???” — no response back yet

Didn't they do that in a bowl game vs Oregon State last year? Lol......if I ever brag about this, please shoot me.

Another stellar performance so far by Carson Beck lol. I can't wait to see what stupid NFL team drafts this guy in the first round.

Seems like such a Jets move. They’ll be in perfect position to do it and claim him as Rodgers’ heir apparent.

So in Stupor Cristobal's era he has:

Lost to Middle Tennessee State
Lost to Rutgers in a bowl game
Lost to Georgia Tech twice

Inject it all into my veins. Karma you dumb haircut having twit.

It's a horrible draft next year for QBs
Cam Ward looks very good. Mobility, arm talent in tight windows & touch throws. Accuracy. He goes through progressions. Only negatives have been occasionally throwing across his body and scrambling too long in the pocket looking for big throws downfield, leading to sacks.

Mario is a recruiter not a coach.

Yeah, tips, I know. I watched him mangle a team for a few seasons. Enjoy the ride. I sure am. Stupid haircut having turn coat coward chump coach....karma.

I mean.....he wasn't recruited for a reason. He's flashy but flawed. Again, you didn't watch him at Wazzou. I did and he is fun but he won't succeed in the pros.

I will respectfully disagree. He has a chance to be elite in the NFL. He needs to mature a bit more in his decision making and also learn “when to say when”.

Everything for him hinges on can he process at the next level….because physically he is extremely and I mean extremely gifted.

Buddy......nobody wanted him out of HS. He went to some weird religious college to start - not Liberty but an even weirder one that nobody cares about.

He gets a gift to run air raid at Wazzou, did well but certainly didn't elevate his team and now he has carved up garbage schools in the worst P4 conference.

He's talented but he wilts in big moments.

Ok…..your opinion.

I have seen a guy who can make every throw. Buy tons of time and has outstanding composure in the pocket.

Let’s see what happens because he will be drafted top 3 in 2025. No doubt. All the tools are present and like I said all that remains to be seen at the next level is the speed of his decision making and learning when to give up on a play vs trying to hard.

Willing to make a friendly wager on that one, friend. I'll even give you top 5.

Winthorpe and Valentine bet.

Cam Ward is drafted Top 5 in 2025

Oh look, more idiots throwing stuff from the stands. Bravo LSU fans, and it was because of an obvious facemask penalty that apparently none of them know is a penalty.

Herbie was ripping them quite a bit. Guessing the jumbotron replay was either a bad angle or too poor quality to see the foul. It was definitely there.

In-stadium replay is pretty terrible, at least at the South Carolina games.
