2024 College Football Thread: Ohio State advances to play unbeaten hypothetical SEC team (2 Viewers)

If targeting could be called on the offense, Judkins would be gone. Surprised they haven’t discussed making the offense able to receive that penalty, especially away from the ball when blocking.

I don’t watch a lot of college ball, but my wife asked me why that wasn’t called helmet to helmet. Looked like face mask first rather than the crown to me 🤷🏻‍♂️

Watch again. Lowers his head and comes up at him to hit him with the crown. A defender isn’t defenseless but something feels off about punishing defenders alone for that kind of play.

As a Michigan fan, I am just sick watching these playoffs. If the program could have even just got the Fresno QB Mikey Keene to transger for 2024 and not just 2025, the Wolverines really might be playing right now. I don't feel like any of the playoff teams are very good.

Not sure how the refs missed that pretty blatant DPI. Buckeyes caught a huge break there.

Feels like OSU has dominated this game but are only up 7-0. That’s a recipe for how Texas can win this game.

I was feeling pretty down there for how much Ohio State dominated the half and to be tied and it all happened from Henderson penalty on when they stopped moving the ball on offense so it was sweet to see Henderson make that play. 99% of the time there is no chance to score with 29 seconds left.

Smart holding since the clock runs. I think in both college and NFL if there is a defensive penalty under 1 min in the half or game the clock should get to reset to the time it was before the play. Why reward the penalty ?

Yep and teams should just line up with like 18 guys on the field too, take the penalty and the 5 seconds that run off.
