Didn't see a ton of that talk TBH. And it wouldn't have been true. I know a lot of folks yelled for offsetting penalties after the scrum (I didn't, see above), but overall it was a decent job for the refs.Nobody is saying the refs dictated the game. That was one team exerting complete dominance on another team. But if you were in the game thread yesterday, you would have thought the Eagles were hosed by the refs (which was not at all the case).I get that, but I mean, lol, why was the guy blocking him thru the back of the end zone AFTER the whistle AND into the wall. I felt the officials did a good job of flagging folks and admit, Slay would have deserved a flag there. But I mean, refs can only help teams out so much when the yardage and TOP numbers are THIS skewed. 400+ - 170 or something and basically 40 to 20 minutes. This was a good test for the Eagles, the perfect game leading up to all the "Wow what will the Eagles do if a team decides to commit to stopping the run?" And we see the results.Steelers thought is was going to be the Barkley show, could tell early when Roberts was in on 3rd down(or 2nd and long). He cant cover, he is an against the run LB. And their corners are soft, Porter is scared to tackle anyone. Not having their SS was a loss too. And no Pickens means no WRs to worry about. I kinda knew Hurts was going to have a day, with all that made up BS about him and Brown(that was some nice media fake news). And the refs were certainly adding a few assists. But philly is good, maybe the best team in the NFC. I wouldnt mind a philly v buffalo super bowl(just no more KC Chiefs).Jalen Hurts vs a top 5 defense tonight:
- 25/32 (78%)
- 290 passing yards
- 2 passing TDs
- 125.6 passer rating
- 46 rushing yards
- 1 rushing TD
- 0.35 EPA/play
- 17.1 total EPA
I'm a Steelers fan and can admit you guys outclassed the Steelers football-wise. Slay shoulda been ejected, and the head slap was before the punt, but I dont think it would have made a difference.
Eagles are miles ahead of the Steelers talent-wise, but we are least gaining. One more good draft and free agency, and Steelers might be in the top tier.
The Eagles are the closest to as weakness free of a football team you can hope for. They can pass if they have to, or they will run it if they have to. Which defense currently in the NFL or at least the NFC can do both well enough to stop this team? They are also the best defense in football - in pass defense, in ppg and yards.
This team is on a mission.
They might be weakness free (especially if their kicker is back lol).
