Hmm, it’s weird that they left the endzones green. If any of y'all have CBS Sports Network - the gray field of Eastern Michigan gives a weird, Pleasantville-like optical illusion.

There you go, Commodores.
Mizzou without its QB - that TD could be enough.
ETA: Or not.

Texas is just not a watchable product right now.
He and Gus Johnson are the worstJoe Tesitore just yells & screams the entire game. Good thing mute buttons exist.
Might be a long night for the Spartans
Does he look hurt to you? Does me.This MSU QB is terrible!
They have to have someone better on the roster. Put the backup in while they are still in the game.
He’s not hurt, just zero football IQ. Gets it from his coach…Does he look hurt to you? Does me.This MSU QB is terrible!

They might still be paying Coach O. There’s no way they will eat the rest of that contract to also pay the next guy what he’ll demand. So is Brian Kelly getting mega fired?
@Fuller must have been off his teets todayDang. USF had so many chances to win, but didn’t do anything in the 4th quarter and let Memphis hang around.
I agree with everything you said, but I also wanted to point out that I giggled when sounding out the above as I read it.contwnder
And to expound, I hate that when my team took its first loss, I brushed it off and said, “No big deal, they can still make the playoffs.” College football used to be unique because every game mattered. As many have said, the regular season WAS the playoff.I agree with everything you said, but I also wanted to point out that I giggled when sounding out the above as I read it.contwnder
The crazy thing to me is, college football has never been more diverse or un-dynastic.... yet this thread is a 3rd (1/3) as dynamic as it used to be.
We have Indiana, INDIANA, as a legitimate playoff team/national title contender, almost all of the most recent title contwnders struggling in some form, Georgia tech back in the mix, Clemson gone, Texas gone, penn st gone, LSU getting manhandled, oregon is oregon, and yet....
1 comment an hour.
This may be the 1st time in 30 years that we end up with what we wanted... a discussion about a real championship. Yet now we have a playoff for it and whoever wins it all will have a loss or 2, or hell, maybe even 3.
And the thread is silent.
Can we go back to the old Bowl system?
Eta: VANDERBILT could end up in the playoff discussion. Yet :crickets:
Everyone just done?

Nobody wants three weeks of the playoffs. 1/5 years there are more than 2 great teams. 1/10 years there are more than 4 good teams. This system is atrocious and thrown NIL in and you get today
Done deal IMOSo is Brian Kelly getting mega fired?
Todd Graves will cut that check and add a side of Cane’s sauce. Kelly is done. They might still be paying Coach O. There’s no way they will eat the rest of that contract to also pay the next guy what he’ll demand.
That could have happened with a more rational NIL and regional conferences.Nobody wants three weeks of the playoffs. 1/5 years there are more than 2 great teams. 1/10 years there are more than 4 good teams. This system is atrocious and thrown NIL in and you get today
I watched Missouri-Vanderbilt yesterday, a game that had national title implications and Playoff repercussions for both teams. It feels like the pool of teams that can have a magic season and win it all has increased.
That's what I want. Not a dazzling decade of dynasty by two schools.
But those who bet on them had to be happy with the back door cover with 7 seconds left.Might be a long night for the Spartans
I agree with both of these. What makes it worse is they are play by play guys.He and Gus Johnson are the worstJoe Tesitore just yells & screams the entire game. Good thing mute buttons exist.
I used to sit there for 10 hours a day watching CFB and I don’t think I saw even 30 minutes yesterday. A lot of that is having kids, and I prefer the NFL so I can only veg out one day each weekend but I also hate the playoff and what they did to conferences. Plenty of people still love it though so it’s all good. The crazy thing to me is, college football has never been more diverse or un-dynastic.... yet this thread is a 3rd (1/3) as dynamic as it used to be.
