2025 College Football Thread: FSU loses to Stanford in battle of academic powers (11 Viewers)

I expect they'll lose still but 38 points on Georgia didn't have any cowardice in it.
Two cowardly drives in a row. Probably gonna cost them the game. Scoring 38 points is proof they should’ve been more aggressive!!!!!

We'll just disagree there. 38 points with a QB that new against a team like Georgia seemed non cowardly. All good though. We were more competitive than I thought we'd be.

UT got way too conservative at the end. I thought Heupel might be from the Bob Stoops school of always taking a shot after a turnover. Had the momentum.

The second half quarters of the Cincinnati-Northwestern State game were shortened to 10 minutes. Never heard of this in college.

Called a great game until he turtled in the last 6 minutes. Jmo

I thought he called that last drive well until he got scared after that false start.

The more I see Texas play the less impressed I am with the close game win for Ohio State. UT looks weak!

Ohio State plays Ohio tonight and may be a stronger opponent than UT was.
How does Arch look throwing the ball?
I only watched a few minutes. In that time there was two passes and both were rushed under thrown incompletions. He did run for a TD.

Currently 8-20 for 96 yards against UTEP.
He went on an 0-9 streak at one point.

Local radio was lighting the team on fire at half. Said this far they have the weapons and defense to play with anyone, if only they could throw. Ouch.
Maybe Coopers wife had an affair with Cade McNown

Will Blackman is calling the Miami-USF game as a color analyst. He's good.

He mentioned his first assignment in college as a freshman was covering Andre Johnson.

Kelly doesn't trust his 5th year projected first round QB to go for it on 4th and 3 from midfield?

What a ... wimp.

ND defense a shell of itself. Chris Ash looking like a poor hire and he’s certainly no Al Golden.

Denbrock doing the D no favors. Carr’s int was on a 5 man box when we should be running. Love and Price running well, but let’s pass….and there went momentum

Unbelievable. There are under 10 seconds left in the half, it’s 4th down at midfield, and the QB walks away from shotgun and claps in frustration. The center snapped the ball. Chaos ensues and almost costs ND 3 points.

What a clown show. Freeman has a lot of work to do at the half and across this season. Looks like a very average team that is especially held back by its coordinators.

Haven't watched a single play but is Ohio U supposed to be good? Ohio State playing like crap?

Ohio is the chalk of the MAC.

But still.....

You gotta be Stoked! What a start by Georgia Tech!
Yeah, pretty pumped. And this team, unlike previous GT teams, feels like they won't have one of those stupid letdowns. I'm sure they will lose a game before the UGA game though because they don't feel like they're good enough to be 11-0. The schedule is weak this year but I don't care we usually play one of the hardest schedules in the country. We just happen to avoid Miami, FSU, and Louisville this year.

Miami lost its top 6 receivers from last year. Their new group is the best since their hey days. It includes 2 true freshman, Toney and Moore, plus some good transfers. Carson is a very good college QB, still not sure how he'll do in the pros, but he could be a Heisman candidate with the talent around him - including oline and RBs.

With an improved defense and better d-coordinator, Mario has no excuses.

On the upside was much closer than I thought it would be.

We’re about a #15-18 team. It could be worse.
With all due respect, Tennessee was every bit the equal of Georgia. They have the same level of talent that Georgia has. If I’m being honest, Tennessee should have won that game no problem.

The difference? Coaching.

Georgia has that dawg mentality that comes directly from Kirby Smart.

Tennessee has an insecure head coach that is skittish and panics on the sidelines.

When Georgia needed it they got it.

Yuuup. Joe is coping here because he loves his team but Tennessee and namely their coach blew that game. That team should be way better than 15-18 range.
