What do you guys think about Cody Simon and Chris Paul Jr? Both of these guys have JAGs to keep against for starting jobs and you can get them late

Are we sure it hurts Roberts in a meaningful way? Seemingly, it's White (and additional short term cold water on Eichenberg/Lindenberg) who'll get less snaps as Pratt steps in but next to Roberts right?
I think it's a coin toss between Roberts and Pratt for better IDP numbers, and White and Jaylon Smith probably battling for a roster spot.

As a Pratt owner, this was the best news

I love Paul’s chances to get in early. He wore green dot in college and has speed. Reeder, Speights and Landman seems easy. Simon has tougher path to being #1. Gaither-Davis played well in Cincy last year at end of season. Signed 2 yr 10 million contract just this off season. Could beat out Mack Wilson but only 2nd fiddle. Paul more highly rated coming into draft. Simon drafted earlier.
Love this quote
"Chris Paul Jr. brings an instinctive, high-effort style of play that aligns perfectly with the Rams’ defensive identity. He thrives in high-tempo situations and plays with the kind of motor and football awareness that makes him a natural fit for a unit that leans heavily on speed and pursuit. His versatility also gives him a chance to carve out a role early, particularly on passing downs.

Fox Sports names Paul as Rams breakout player also. Get him while you can. In 4 months he may not be aquireable with the economics of LBs in most IDP leagues

This sounds an awful like the scuttlebutt around Speights last year
Pretty easy to go back and check out what was written last off season. Even in September Rams LB, Speight was getting only a little press. In May/June was getting squat. So going to disagree here big time. Was not in top 12 list in May a year ago. Only mentioned in September really. Paul getting attention now. Moved into my top 5 now. Chance to go higher depending how camp goes. Of course could drop but I have high expectations. Was offered early 3rd in 26 and declined for Paul. I drafted 50th overall and give myself an A easily. Really think I made huge steal.

I generally prefer to target these types 4-15 months from now.
I may be wrong about this, but I feel like LBs are a bit like TE these days, in that it's hard for a rookie to come in and take over. Seems to me like a lot of LB who are currently good performers had to wait their turn a bit. I see a JAG in front of a 3rd/4th round LB, but coaches may see a vet who won't make mistakes.

In my dynasty leagues, a player can be on a taxi squad for up to 2 years, but anyone you pull off taxi squad can never go back on, and you lose that taxi spot for rest of the season. So taxi squad is truly a redshirt year. I try and fill up my taxi squad with the Dee Winters/Cedric Gray types, because I don't want to be tempted to cut them for a bye week CB or something.

Speights made his presence felt as camp and the season developed. That is far more important than "press". Paul has just as much of a chance as anyone else with his draft capital, but right now I have Speights way ahead of him and see Paul as a tax squad only

What's the consensus here on Nick Bonito? Only 25 and had a great year last year. I am looking to acquire in a big play scoring league. He was DL9 last year in our scoring. Is he ready to take the leap to elite or was last year a fluke? I tend to lean towards him being closer to the upper echelon moving forward with Denver on the rise.

Thoughts from the crowd?

ETA: Davenport has him in his DL2 tier at #17 overall for DL. He is in what is considered his "Value DL2" tier.

I see a big 6 of Parsons, Hutch, Crosby, Watt, Garrett and Bosa. After this is big tier. Bonito in here. Hunter, Anderson, Burns, Allen-Hines, Van Ginkel, Highsmith, Verse, Landry, Greenard, Walker, Rousseau, Hendrickson, Chubb, M. Sweat, and Granderson could all fit in here. J. Johnson, Karafalitis, DTs, Young, Carter, Gary give you 3 guys each for 12 team league. Any of these guys could take step up and be elite. I am sure I missed a few that could be liked a lot. Depends on price point. I find DL very deep in leagues and not sure the advantage he gives. I had chance for Bosa. Was going to cost me Walker and 4th(feel 4th can bring nice player in IDP. This year brought Green and Paul. Emmanwori was late 3rd.

This is about where I land. I was in need of DE help, but wasn't willing to swing for the top tier. So I shopped around until I found someone willing to accept my price for a DE in the next tier, not having a strong opinion who that player is, being more concerned with acquisition price. And it happened to be Bonito.

A little penicillin will clear that up.

Macri's recent top 24 DL from a podcast had Bonitto at 21. He also had a top ~9 before a big group that Bonitto was in. His 9: Hutch, Parsons, Bosa, Anderson, Verse, Carter, Crosby, Garrett, Watt. Basically gave the 3 young guys a seat in the club that Crippler didn't. To me, Verse is undeniably in that top group - I can't seem to trade Garrett for him this offseason in 2 leagues and am bummed.
