2025 Philadelphia Eagles - Don’t assume leisure leads anywhere serious; Curiosity over wasted bravado often yields success. Soft teams in NFL know. (10 Viewers)

Anyone else read and watch videos of our picks like a degenerate or just me? 😂

Anyway, Antwaun Powell-Ryland (They call him APR) looks like he could be a steal in the 6th. His measurable aren’t great, specially his arm length, but he has an array or pass rush moves with a great motor. Hope he makes the team.

Honestly, I don't pay much attention to players after the first 2 or 3 rounds. Once they get into training camp over the summer, then the we'll see if they're any good. Right now, every team thinks they drafted the steal of the draft.

Oh for sure. The weirdest thing I'm seeing is most sites that gave grades overall for the NFL, I'd say the majority of teams got a B or better grade which, law of averages and all, can't be true.

For us though, yeah I've been watching a lot of reviews and prognostications between video and podcasts. Its a fun time.

I'm definitely coming around on APR, if he can translate what he does a little to the NFL can definitely be a guy in a Nascar package or just a dedicated pass rusher. He's got a lot of juice.

Ahead of this weekend's Rookie Camp, the Eagles announced that they have assigned the following jersey numbers:

Draft Picks
19 – Kyle McCord
22 – Mac McWilliams
24 – Andrew Mukuba
30 – Jihaad Campbell
42d – Smael Mondon Jr.
66 – Drew Kendall
73 – Cameron Williams
78 – Myles Hinton
93 – Antwaun Powell-Ryland Jr.
95 – Ty Robinson

*Note that some players will share the same jersey number, so o is for offense and d is for defense.

I got draft prospect fatigue and need a break till summer. Funny Todd McShay right before the draft said guys like him do as well. The best part for him now that he’s not tied to a network/company per say is he can kind of take a break after doing the whole draft review when he wants too.

I’m on draft fatigue. I’ll keep an eye on rookie and mini camp then take off till training camp. You really won’t know what you have till camp and live games start. A lot can happen. Someone outplays someone else, someone gets hurt etc.

For example the Browns have what 5 or 6 QBs now. I could easily see a scenario where Flacco and KP play poorly and Gabriel and Sanders light it up. One of Flacco/KP gets cut (maybe makes it to their practice squad. Or Neither Sanders and Gabriel light the world on fire but both are good enough and Flacco and KP both play well maybe they keep all 4 on the roster.

A lot can happen with these teams from now till week 1. No one saw Puka Nacua 2 yrs ago blast off as a rocket ship. Justin Herbert despite being a high pick was not drafted in a lot of fantasy leagues rookie year and became a popular pick up by week 6-7 in his rookie year.

Per Eagles

We've signed the following 2025 draft picks: LB Smael Mondon, QB Kyle McCord, OT Myles Hinton, and OLB Antwuan Powell-Ryland.

I hear you. I don’t pay attention to any pre draft stuff. I have the guys I like from the end of the college season and will read up here and there. I don’t do any mocks or even look at them. I don’t even do the contest here. I’ll look more after everyone has a team.

I saw a social media post rank the top up coming games for the season. They had Bills/Chiefs as #1 and Eagles/Chiefs as #4. It got me thinking that the Eagles and Chiefs are becoming an interesting out of conference rival. I remember the Cowboys/Steelers rival from way back when. What other out of conference rivals are there? Giants/Patriots could be regarded as an out of conference rival.

Eagles are Chiefs are 6-6 all time so the stage is set.

I REALLY want to go to that Chiefs game this year. 2nd on my list is GB. For many various and obvious reasons.

I got my eyes on Nashville next year. That was without a doubt one of the best times ever.

In NFC East News per Scheftar

Cowboys now say they have agreed to terms to acquire WR George Pickens and a 2026 6th-round pick from the Steelers in exchange for a 2026 3rd-round pick and a 2027 5th-round pick.

The gb beatdown will be awesome

Eagles, TE Dallas Goedert agree to a reworked deal for 2025 season. (via Mike Garafolo)

Glad to have him stick around.
I hoped this was gonna happen, when they didn’t draft a TE.

Injuries, or no, he fits our offense too well. Leading receiver in the playoffs, no?
I’d rather have drafted or signed a better back up. Calcaterra can’t block a dead grandmother to save his life. We beat Washington in Washington if he blocked better. At least 3 plays a guy got by him for a TFL on Barkley or rushed Pickett into a bad throw. Missed a few in the GB and LAR playoff games too.

At the same time Goedert is injured too much to be reliable anymore. Your best asset is availability in the nfl.

Ya, makes sense. His blocking is severely underrated and is really going to help this year. Hopefully we draft 32nd next year and take a TE ;)

we got Latu from bama as a backup. hes not terrible

Man am I pumped we got Goedert back. Such a key cog to take us from a very very good team to an almost unstoppable team. When healthy he really is one of the best complete tight ends in the game. One of the best blockers, huge hands, gets YAC. Didn't say a peep about any of this contract stuff publicly. Big fan, so glad they made something work out.

Roseman talked about using Tyler Robinson at FB with BVS already doing so. Nick and Howie want to try and revive the position again

Thanks for that! Love the video breakdown of just how good Moore’s gameplan was against Spags’ D, and just how on the money Jalen was on the biggest stage in the world.

I’ve been up and down in my confidence of Hurts and frustrated as a fan at some of his inconsistencies. But, dude is just clutch- he has a winning gene. You can argue all day: does he rank in the top 5 or too 10 QBs in the NFL? Is he just a system QB?

Two Superbowl performances where he has played at an MVP level and his NFCCG play- I don’t care what the argument is. There aren’t more than 2 QBs I’d trade him for.

Love the guy. Love his stoic, cool demeanor in the press. And love the way he filters out the criticism and uses it as internal fuel to up his game.

In honor of the new thread title.

Since the Eagles and Cowboys last met in a week 1 matchup (2000).

Eagles:
- 17 playoff appearances
- 8 conference championships
- 4 Super Bowls
- 2 Super Bowl wins

Dallas:
- 10 playoff appearances
- 0 conference championship games

I'm ok with the Cowboys game being the opener. I see what the NFL is doing here. Have only seen 3 total Dak vs Hurts matchups due to injury or resting of players of the years. I think this is a good game for the Eagles and new OC Kevin Patulo to try and establish their identity early this year. Dallas was 28th in RPG allowed last year, 27th in YPC, and no team allowed more touchdowns on the ground than the Cowboys. Not sure they have done much if anything to make this better.

Eagles will play on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday this season.

Need a Joe Webb-type reschedule to get a Tuesday game in there, too.

At least jerruh will get to see a Super Bowl banner raised in person
It has been a while, but I do believe he has seen three.

Schedule so far:

Week 1: DAL (Thursday)
Week 10: @GB (Monday)
Week 13: CHI (Friday)
Week 16: @WSH (Saturday)
Are Week 1 tickets usually insane? Much higher than a similar game mid season?
Usually, and then the Dallas factor plus the SB banner raising, they will probably be even more so. It being a Thursday night game, though, might not make them too crazy.

My extra upper level pair for the ATL home opener in 2018 after SB 52 sold for $300 each ($85 face.)

Schedule so far:

Week 1: DAL (Thursday)
Week 2: @KC
Week 3 Vs LAR
Week 10: @GB (Monday)
Week 13: CHI (Friday)
Week 14: @Chargers (Monday)
Week 15: Raiders (Chip Kelly First game back)
Week 16: @WSH (Saturday)
Week 17: @BillS
Week18: Commanders
