2025 Philadelphia Eagles - Pro Football HOF sculptors in Canton begin work on the Tanner McKee bust. (41 Viewers)

@Cowboysfan8 signed up and paid to be in Shark Pool Home League #4, and there are still 4 spots available.

For all the back and forth crap and smack that goes between you two fan bases, I'm absolutely :shuked: as to why not even one of you guys has stepped up, where it actually *counts* - money's on the line* - , and taken up the gauntlet to go toe-to-toe with him.

There's 4 spots available; that's more than enough room for a 3-on-1 , which from my personal brawling experience in your City of Brotherly something-other-than Love , you guys are proficient at ... or, cowboysfan08 could go find a tag-team partner from the Cowboys Thread and we could see who's what...

...years of smack between residents of the two Threads. The perfect opportunity presents itself to legitimize one's position.

Go getcha some, Philly!
Meh, did those leagues last year and am not a fan of them. Way too much hype for a $50 league on a bad platform lol

Hmm...

;)
yet you won't even join yourself for the same reason :lmao:

Far from it. :lmao:

I have legitimate reasons, as I detailed in the L4 Thread, concerning a commitment to a High-Stakes Investment partnership that involves more $ than most people, besides Chet, of course, make in a month. Maybe even a quarter.

I even began my post with 'Unfortunately', while you were dismissive.

...and despite the fact that I've clearly voiced my dipleasure with, and loudly complained about the Sleeper platform, AND I did crappy in the inaugural Footballguys Bowl last year, I'm not only jumping back in this year, but I'm competing in a Shark Pool Dedicated League, rather than vs a bunch of randos, which will be even more challenging, but allows me to participate, in the only way I am able to - a free League.

You, other hand, are just making excuse that flies in the face of the Philly mentality I became accustomed to while growing up, in college, and during my career - whatever happened to "any time, any place, anywhere?"

To your credit, you're a step ahead of the rest of the smack-talking cravens in here who continue to post right along, while conveniently disregarding the fact that I'm pointing out a golden opportunity for you all to legitimately validate your claim to supremacy, via putting your money where your mouth is.

So, you've got that going for you...

I don't know, maybe some of you are *just* Eagles fans, and not actual Philadelphians. That's would make more sense.

No self-respecting Philly guy I know (and I know plenty) would ever back down from an opportunity to show who's boss in a fair fight.

Do with it what you will...
TLDR.

Just find it funny you say you have "legitimate reasons" yet my reasons are basically the same, and you go off on some strange tangent.

Like you, I'm invested in far too many high stakes leagues. I no longer play leagues under 1k unless it's a league with friends and even then anything below 200 and it's simply taking up equal time/energy to a league with such little payouts and such a high rake. If you want to play in a high stakes league I'd be in right away. And since you're puffing your chest at your 'investment partnership' (lol), I assure you I'm more invested in this hobby than you are ;)

Saw your cop out and your pot stirring posts over there.
This isn't fighting Drago in Russia, it's a $50 league with a $100 rake.
Sounds like Cowboys fans, like their owner, would just prefer to overpay for things.

Toughest fan base lol

just watched the Eagles-Bengals game. some comments about backup and roster bubble guys i didn't see mentioned yet on the offense:

  • Some kid named Smith we drafted to replace Covey on kick return. He looks shifty, I like him.
  • Darius Cooper. He won't be a starter anytime soon on this roster (or ever, or i don't even know if he's entrenched into the 54 yet), but I like what I'm seeing as a fill to be the third and fourth WR option. He plays hard. Check out his TD catch and the breakdown of that particular route at the 7 minute mark.
  • Johnny Wilson looking like the Johnny Wilson we hoped for. Can he do that in real games? Had more than a few nice route and catches over the top. At his size he could be a great goal line option.
  • AJ Dillon looks great and with Shipley looking like the same guy from last season I'm very comfortable with this backfield. The talk of his thighs and comparisons to Saquon's thighs will dominate broadcasts in games he plays a major role.

One of the drawbacks of starters not playing is trying to gauge how you #5 WR would do against a teams #1 or #2 CB.

McKee could be a starter in the league.

Yeah. What do they do with him after this year? He's in the 3rd of a 4 year contract. I guess they move him in the offseason?
They keep him unless a team comes in offering a 1st. You need a good back up with your starter in this league. If he wants to stay he could take less. Given hurts playing style always a case he gets injured and out a couple games. He’s stayed healthy but the older you get more at risk you are

Mike Mayock was a guest on Rich Eisen's show a few days ago and said Jihad Campbell is the future of the off-ball LB position. Mayock said Campbell can play the run or drop into coverage. He can blitz up the middle or line up on the edge and rush. Tough, versatile and athletic
