2025 Philadelphia Eagles - Practice window opens for low center of gravity king Willie Lampkin. (72 Viewers)

Moro Ojomo in 8 games this season (208 pass rush snaps) has 4 sacks and 6 QB hits. In 17 games last season (418 pass rush snaps) Milton Williams finished with 5 sacks and 10 QB hits.

Ojomo also has more pressures, sacks, QB hits, & hurries than Quinnen Williams in 2025.

What is the difference in double team rates?

This is just from Google AI so....

Moro Ojomo is double-teamed on an estimated 60% of his pass-rushing snaps, a rate that is high for an interior defensive lineman. This figure highlights his growing effectiveness and the attention he draws on the field, especially since playing alongside Jalen Carter also draws double teams

Best I can do for Williams is what the Cowboys reddit has posted

[NextGenStats] Quinnen Williams has beaten 57 double teams to generate pressure since 2022, the most of any player during that span. His 190 total pressures during that span are the 4th-most among DTs.

PFF Has Quinnen Williams as DT7
PFF Has Moro Ojomo as DT8
PFF Has Jalen Carter as DT59

Yeah, if you pay for PFF you can get the double team rates, I don't so I was curious. That's the stat that is relevant for DTs, IMO.

I get it, I'm not saying literally "Ojomo is Williams'

But the production is there this year.

And I think we can at least almost say "Ojomo is replacing Milton Williams without any drop off"

Good injury report coming out of the bye: AJ, Saquon, and Nolan Smith were full participants in practice.

Only concern is Jurgens. He was the only DNP, so likely more of Toth at C on Monday night.

Its like they just don't listen to what the guy says, and also ya know, he is being cryptic for a reason (pssst...he's not a big fan of the media)

Is he at a 10/10 Happiness? Probably not, everyone wants the ball its natural.

But yeah ESPN was at it today "Well he didn't say he wanted to be in Philly" bc he's said yes 1000x already , so on the 1001th time he's asked the same question "UH OH AJ BROWN WANTS TO GET TRADED"

Its sad what the reporting business of things has fallen to in a lot of ways

People just don’t get that “Reading the tea leaves” is 80% of “reporting” today. Sprinkle in some gossip and you can generate the clicks. Sadly, even after she says this many will still blindly follow her and believe what she says.

AJ is upset because the offense philosophy changed so to what the skillset at the QB position was after AJ had been here. Like it or not as a WR here you need to know as long as Saquan Barkley is here he’s getting ball sprinkled with Hurts runs. The team can’t pass constantly enough 30-40 times a game or Jalen starts making mistakes. As a prime #1 WR like AJ he wants the ball constantly.

In other words when AJ came here what he thought he was going into wasn’t what he signed up for a year after being here. Some would say “but he won a SB here.” Well I don’t know if it was you or u or @Terpman22 who brought up the quote after the SB AJ saying basically he’s only happy if the team is winning and he’s dominating opponents.

It also has to be frustrating as we played a lot of zone Def teams which for his career Hurts has had big time struggles with and it doesn’t seem he’s gotten any better since year 1 on that. I don’t know if that coaching, him or what but at the same time every OC he’s had hasn’t done well to put him in better opportunities to succeed against those teams either.

Has there been a falling out between AJ and Hurts? There seems to be and it’s been talked about awhile. These two were like brothers and now barely speak outside of games or practices. What happened know one knows and those who do seem to not want to talk about it even off record or anonymously. Hurts has tried to smooth things over but AJ apparently is still being a diva.

It’s only natural given all of this people would speculate on trading AJ. Do to the offensively philosophy right now it’s a waste of resources to be paying AJ and Devonte both WR1 $$$. Naturally how old is AJ Brown is about to 29 and still has very good value you probably want to trade him for assets you can use elsewhere like draft like draft picks or other position players. Given all of this it wouldn’t surprise me if the team did trade him in the offseason. Naturally it wasn’t Happening in season. “But why not? Sauce Gardner was traded in season with his contract.” Sauces deal with NYJ was structured in a way that the dead cap wasn’t that much. Jets are rebuilding and as much as you want to keep a player of Sauces talent he has better trade value than others. Most big name players aren’t traded mid season either. For the Eagles it makes sense for the team to trade him after the season. They’re still contending for a title and can figure out a replacement later with more time in the offseason. The Eagles can restructure AJs deal to take less of a cap hit on a trade or designate his trade as a post June 1st move to alleviate more cap.

Either way it’s not as dumb as it sounds when looking at it in that way. Drama or not finanicially why would the Eagles with their new offensive philosophy keep and pay two WRs at #1 $$$$? At this rate had we saved that money already we could’ve most likely kept Josh Sweat instead of letting him walk.
