2025 Philadelphia Eagles - Fare thee well, Eagles legend Charley Hughlett (43 Viewers)

Better lucky than good sometimes. They better figure out what they did in the 2nd half and repeat that going forward

Never a doubt. :oldunsure:

Can someone explain the logic for the Eagles timeout to give LA a chance to get closer before the FG?

Man what a game.

Once they opened up the playbook to ya know normal stuff Hurts, the WRs and the passing game all looked great. Good to see it happen and again, when we needed it and in clutch moments.

Ho hum 4 Touchdown day for Hurts as everyone once again saying “he can’t pass when they need to” and him literally doing exactly that, and getting another comeback win down double digits.

The lack of a consistent running game is starting to concern me though

I missed the 2bd half do to work and big bid being there prevented me from watching the game on my phone. I saw we had better numbers in the 2nd half but did we actually play that well, or just get lucky and the rams regressed?

Once the Eagles O replaced Pryor with Big Fred they looked good. Defense played ok.

This is 100 % what Hurts told Patullo.

Yes. 100%. Let AJ and Devonta eat.

Just hoping this is the turning point for the offense.

Merrill is such a local treasure. His voice is the narrative of so many amazing memories. ❤️

Most comeback wins when trailing by double digits -- since 2020 (including playoffs)

Patrick Mahomes -- 13
Jalen Hurts -- 10

Jalen Hurts -- past 17 games he's started and finished

W-L -- 17-0
Pass Yards -- 3,167
Rush yards -- 737
Total TD -- 43
Turnovers -- 5
I’m to lazy to do the math, but where would that put him in terms of fantasy production over that same time period?

Per Next Gen Stats:

Quinyon Mitchell shadowed Davante Adams on 27 of 34 routes in Week 3 (79.4%). It was the first game of his career where he shadowed a receiver on over 60% of their routes.

Mitchell matched up against Adams 22 times after the snap, allowing just 2 receptions for 12 yards on 5 targets. Adams' only other reception came on a 44-yard touchdown against Reed Blankenship.

The Eagles rank 3rd in the NFL in completion percentage allowed (57.7%) and 5th in passer rating allowed (76.4).

In the red zone, Philadelphia has held teams to a 12.5% completion percentage (1st) and 39.6 passer rating (1st).

On third and fourth downs, the Eagles have allowed a 48.0% completion percentage (2nd).

Pryor- yeesh.

Rare mistake by Stoutland to have evaluated Pryor as being up to the task to replace Lane. All camp the reports on Pryor were not good (and a big reason they went and brought Fred Johnson back), so it was odd to see him come in in the first place, let alone trot him out there for 5 series, including that first one of the 2nd half when it could have been a good time to try Fred instead.

I believe Fred said that the reason they went with Pryor first was because he hadn't taken any snaps at RT and all his work was at LT. Kudos to the coaches for realizing pretty quick that Pryor wasn't going to get the job done.

Stafford has never beaten Jalen and Mcveigh has never beaten Sirianni as the Eagles go to 4-0 against the Rams with Nick and Jalen.

Bucs coach Todd Bowles today on the #Eagles tush push. "I'm a fan of creativity. I think if somebody crafts something and they do it well and it's within the rules, it's up to the other side of the ball to stop them, whether it's offensively or defensively. They have something they do very well. I think Buffalo is the only other team that can do that well. If everyone else could do it, everybody would be doing it. So, it's a challenge for all the defensive coaches to try to stop it, and that'll include me."

Potentially issues at CB: Adoree Jackson left the game yesterday with a groin issue and was replaced by Bennett who may have been injured in the scramble for the blocked FG at the end.

Ringo would probably be next man up.

Can we get hold of Isaiah Rodgers?

EDIT: I’d actually love if Ringo got to start and played well for the rest of the year.

No Mike Evans for the Eagles to face as he will be out a few weeks with a hamstring injury.

So our CB2 can get cooked by Jalen McMillan then :P
