I am bailing.Jets got me the win week 1 with a dominant 19 point performance in MNF. Today they racked up a point. Not sure if they had injuries or week 1 was a fluke but Pats & Chiefs next 2 weeks don't inspire a lot of confidence that they will put up double digits.
Anyone bailing on Jets or are they a ride or die or bench and hold?
I'm actually leaning more towards using Denver D/ST vs. Washington. Tampa D/ST vs. Chicago also an interest point of mine. IF Detroit is available in your leagues, I might take a swing on them. Seattle's down 2 starting tackles for the game in Detroit.Other options:
Wash @ Denver
Miami @ NE
Don't trust in me too much. I dropped Miami in one league (for Cleveland, so jury's still out)I'm actually leaning more towards using Denver D/ST vs. Washington. Yep...I'll own it. Not too great in the prognostication:
Denver = 0 pts
Tampa = 19 pts
Detroit = -1 pts
Trust in @ignatiusjreilly though:
Washington = 9 pts
Miami = 11 pts
(Point totals from ESPN standard D/ST Scoring)
In a typical year, there are only a couple defenses that reach "start no matter what and hold them through the bye" status. This year, Dallas is clearly there, Not sure who else, though I'm sure others will emerge over the course of the seasonJets got me the win week 1 with a dominant 19 point performance in MNF. I’m bailing on everyone!

I think early on nobody knows nuthin'. That's why it almost never makes sense to spend up for a DST in the draft.In a typical year, there are only a couple defenses that reach "start no matter what and hold them through the bye" status. I definitely believe in platooning a DT but this year stinks so far. I can’t help but wonder if dropping the Bills before week one to grab a better matchup with the Vikings was a mistake. Not just for the game but maybe they wouldn’t made a good enough regular starter.
Went with KC. Aside from the matchup, they may be legit good. The Detroit game looks better in retrospect, and they held Jax to three FGs (although they also got lucky that Jags WRs couldn't keep their toes inbounds). Especially as Jones rounds back into form, they could emerge as one of the league's better Ds.Who we targeting for Week 3?
Baltimore is available in one of my leagues, and the matchup with Indy could be really good if Richardson sits.
Other possibilities:
Jax vs. Houston: Texans line is decimated and they've been giving up lots of sacks
KC vs Chicago: Bears offense seems broken so far, and they've been giving up both sacks and TDs
Steelers Depot
Adam Schefter on Joe Burrow calf injury on Pat McAfee: "If he came out of that game and he didn't feel great there, you know, I think it's fair to wonder, is he gonna be ready for a week from Monday night against the Rams?" #Steelers #NFL
Ditto. Should have rolled with CLE tonight.Giants going to cost me my game this week. I'm a bit upset about it.
Ari Meirov
#Steelers defense tonight:
- 6 sacks of Deshaun Watson
- 4 fumbles forced
- 3 fumble recoveries
- 1 interception
- 2 defensive touchdowns
Led them to victory.
Drafted the Saints and they've been fine so far. Roll with them or go after hot hands with nice matchups like Chiefs, Dolphins, or Jags?
I’m in the same boat. I want to hold the Saints but the Chiefs are still on my WW for the moment and their next two matchups are screaming at me. I can’t carry two DSTs. Such tough decisions to make in short bench leagues.Drafted the Saints and they've been fine so far. Roll with them or go after hot hands with nice matchups like Chiefs, Dolphins, or Jags?
Agree and did the same. They have done a great job developing young talent and they are starting to mature. Add back the disruptive force in Jones and they are a top unit.Went with KC. A lot of my survivor pool picks seem to overlap with team defense of the week and this would be one of those. Of course survivor I can only use once and not all defenses are on the wire, but many times it ends up the same team.Rolling with KC at home v the Justin Fields Magical Disaster Tour
Seattle? Rookie QB on the road...long way from home.
Grabbed KC this morning for this week and next week's matchup.Chiefs get zac wilson next week too
I think it depends if Richardson plays for Indy this week.If you had to keep one for week 3, who is it?
CLE vs TN
BALT vs IND
Lmao, I’m an idiot and dropped the Steelers DST for them. 0 points versus 32 was the difference between 0-2 for the week and 2-0.Giants going to cost me my game this week. I'm a bit upset about it.
I got minus one point out of the game.
They have the 6th best matchup per PFF’s strength of schedule tool fyi.Going to keep rolling with the Saints even though they are a bottom DST this week I believe ranked 9 or 10.
And I think CHI lost a couple of O lineman this week.full stream ahead, dropped Saints for KC this week.
Rolling KC over Balt for the moment

Marcus Maye suspended 3 games for Saints.
Saints just dropped in mine.. have Buffalo so just staying put even though they don't have the greatest scheduleDrafted the Saints and they've been fine so far. Roll with them or go after hot hands with nice matchups like Chiefs, Dolphins, or Jags?
I honestly don't know whether it makes them a better or a worse option. Not because I think Dalton is a better QB. But he might be less mistake-prone than a rookie in his third game, and mistakes are what you most want out of the QB facing your defense.Bryce Young not practicing today. Seahawks looking like a good choice
Thank you for your service.Went with KC this week over NE. I was pleasantly surprised both were available. Given my track record it may behoove everyone to pick up the Pats.
