Don't they have several OL starters out from as far back as November? Or has some returned? Its mostly their defense. Last I read it was only the starting C who is out on their O Line.
Chargers coach Brandon Staley said Joey Bosa (reserve/COVID-19 list) will not play in Week 16 against the Texans.
Bosa was added to the COVID list alongside Austin Ekeler and center Corey Linsley earlier today. Staley added that cornerback Kemon Hall will also miss this game. Bosa is reportedly unvaccinated so it's possible that this is the first of multiple games that he's out. Luckily for LA, his first absence comes against the hapless Texans. Even without Bosa and others, the Chargers should take care of business versus Houston.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid said he is "hoping" to get back DT Chris Jones (COVID) this week.
He said the same about Josh Gordon and DL Willie Gay, who are also on the COVID list. All three sat out Kansas City's win over the Chargers on Thursday night. The Steelers are next up for the Chiefs on Sunday, so the trio has a full week to clear the COVID protocol.

Allen (if he plays) had some good weeks a year ago but has he has barely played this year and presumably not practiced at all since he's been on the Covid list. It's either that or someone off the street. I would think Philly is the chalk play here.Better chances to core 15 tonight?

It’s bc you already held them once this week. you can’t pick them up again until after the next waiver period runs (Wednesday night/Thursday a.m. this week.) same as day one bruh - learned this one the hard way.I don't understand yahoo. I dropped Philly def for GB on Sunday (yeah obviously horrible decision) and it says they clear waivers today yet I can't pick them back up. All other eagles players I'm able to add. Frustrating. I was hoping to stash them for next week.
Frustrating. Once they clear waivers they should be free for all. Nobody claimed them. Makes no sense. It’s bc you already held them once this week. you can’t pick them up again until after the next waiver period runs (Wednesday night/Thursday a.m. this week.) same as day one bruh - learned this one the hard way.
As I understand it, the rule was put in by Yahoo to stop someone with number 1 waiver priority from having an extra roster slot by being able to drop a player Thursday-Sunday then allowing them to pick them back up when waivers run. IOW, there would be no cost to dropping a player bc you’d be guaranteed first dibs. With the rule in place it gives other owners a shot at the player. The player has to clear waivers before the owner who dropped him can pick him up again.Frustrating. Once they clear waivers they should be free for all. Nobody claimed them. Makes no sense.
Thanks for the help. I get the reasoning but what I dont understand is Philly should have cleared waivers this morning but they didnt. As I understand it, the rule was put in by Yahoo to stop someone with number 1 waiver priority from having an extra roster slot by being able to drop a player Thursday-Sunday then allowing them to pick them back up when waivers run. Our waivers run on Wednesday, so we're good. I don't think leagues should run waivers on Tuesday. Normally having two days is good. One in this case, but that's OK.If the waiver time in League Settings is 1 day, I would think so. If it’s 2 days then they become a Free Agent/clear waivers tomorrow.
However, it’s also possible (guessing) the rescheduling of games and Yahoo switching waiver dates threw a wrench into it.

Signs continue to point to recently-signed Garrett Gilbert starting tonight at QB for the WFT, but that’s pending a final round of COVID testing for Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen, per sources. It is a 25-minute private flight from DC to Philly, so always a chance, however bleak.
Rams removed OLB Von Miller from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Miller was among a cavalcade of Rams placed on the COVID-19 list five days ago. He has a chance to play Tuesday in the Rams' delayed game against the Seahawks. It's not the best development for Russell Wilson and the Seattle passing offense.

Didn't Yahoo push waivers back a day because of the postponed games? Mine usually runs on Wed but this week it's Thu.Thanks for the help. I get the reasoning but what I dont understand is Philly should have cleared waivers this morning but they didnt.
Philly still hasnt played so I would have thought I could pick them up for free today but since I dropped them on Sunday it seems I cant.Didn't Yahoo push waivers back a day because of the postponed games? Mine usually runs on Wed but this week it's Thu.

I thought so. It was a big, orange banner, but it's no longer there and I'm no longer positive.ignatiusjreilly said:Didn't Yahoo push waivers back a day because of the postponed games? Mine usually runs on Wed but this week it's Thu.
Well, that was BS, but they did win my game for me (needed 3.66 points) even though they didn't set the woods on fire. My two other defenses scored 1 point respectively.I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles were the #1 fantasy defense this week.
That crazy INT really hurt since that resulted in a short field and points. The Eagles did ok but not dominant against an undermanned team.Well, that was BS, but they did win my game for me (needed 3.66 points) even though they didn't set the woods on fire. Chiefs activated CB Charvarius Ward from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Ward ended up spending only three days on the list, missing zero games. He was reported as COVID positive, so this is quite a fast turnaround to negative. An every-down player, Ward's presence will be a big boost vs. the Steelers' Dionte Johnson/Chase Claypool-led receiver corps.

Chiefs activated DT Chris Jones from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
It's a big boost for the Kansas City defense, which actually struggled a bit without him on Thursday night. (Granted, the Chargers are a game opponent.) Jones should go right back to being a game-wrecker on Sunday against a beleaguered Steelers interior line.

Seem solid! Falcons or jets anyone?icehouse said:How high do the Dolphins rank now, considering the Saints QB situation?
PHI is an attractive play this week. What about dropping them at a time when they are no longer available this week to other teams? They won't be in high demand next week. I'm starting PHI in two leagues, sitting NE in one this week and then starting DAL in another. PHI hasn't exactly lit it on fire. They had a few very nice weeks.Defenses of teams still in my playoffs:
Can I safely drop the Eagles here or does it risk improving a potential playoff opponent either now or next week? Titans, Seahawks, Bills, Dolphins, Chargers, Pats, Ravens, 49ers, Packers, Rams, Bucs and Broncos all taken by non-playoff teams in terms of what's available on the wire, I'm going to need to drop somebody to pick up a TE if Kelce is declared out
- Me: Cowboys, Eagles
- Opponent: Falcons
- Other semi team 1: Cardinals
- Other semi team 2: Chefs, Saints
Such a crapshoot at D/ST. In one league that I own NE I also picked up PHI (dropped T Hill, start J Allen) so I really didn't want to start NE against Allen. Optimizing points by going PHI, which is a top 3-5 or some would say, the top D/ST for the week.Been holding/ using BUF all season, but snagged Philly for this weeks matchup. I’d be crazy NOT to start Philly, right?
wondering if I should rethink this with the QB situation in NOLARolling with the Pats at home v Buffalo
Also have Fins (@ NO) but I always like a BB team in a bounce back game
There's the Payton genius factor on offense I suppose. With a mobile QB like Book (4.65 40 time), what will Miami do? Blitz every down like they did vs Lamar? Miami hasn't blitzed that much since.wondering if I should rethink this with the QB situation in NOLA

In the preseason, Book looked decent. Threw lots of screens, avoided the blitz. After this game, there'll be a book on Book.

Just remember what Johnson did for the Jets last time he started.Huntley has covid, Josh Johnson to start after being on the team all of 10? Days. Going Cincy over Packers/Colts/Atlanta
Cincy at home against a beat up ravens secondary should score often and Trey Hendrickson should be a major force in this game
