taking a quick look at other defenses on the waiver wire in my league, they all have multiple weeks where they scored either 1, 0, or negative points.

ATL scored 4 today, one of their lowest outputs.

I’ll take it.

just looking for my defense to not lose the game for me.

They made Bryce Young look all world. That’s hard to do. Sorry - can’t be trusted. I thought they would be fired up in a revenge game. Only worry was Dowdle. But hey, if they get ahead, force Bryce to pass then yeah, could be a lot of turnovers. Game script went exactly as planned - and Young TORCHED them. Bryce freakin Young

they got 5 sacks, which was enough for 4 points in my league.
 
Eagles d looks like an eventual league winner

Next week LV vs Sanders led Browns and Saints vs Falcons without Penix and London look spicy. Both can be picked up now. Saints schedule in particular looks incredible.

Scoring system is out of wack if that lousy performance got you 4 points. My god. I shifted away last second, but that D fooled a bunch of people once again...along with all the "experts" ranking them top 5 last week.
 
My season is going to come down to week 13.
Any defenses stand out to you guys that week? SF plays the Browns?? Maybe I try to acquire them?

I've been riding Detroit & Houston combo but they both have matchups I don't love. Detroit vs GB & Houston @ Indy.

Philly is available vs Chicago but Ben Johnson scares me.

What position does he play? I wouldn't hesitate in playing the Eagles defense against Chicago.

Philly and Houston to me would be fine. Houston has legit been every week awesome
 
Tampa's schedule lightens up significantly the last 5 weeks of the season.

i have Jacksonville to cover weeks 12 and 13, and have a bye week 15.

Gonna drop Atlanta for Philly for ROS I guess. Rather a good defense than whatever tf Atlanta is right now.
 
who would you prefer for FF playoffs. I realize that NYG are struggling more than MIN, but these offenses are damaged...

Carter has been a bust so far but maybe being benched early was a wake up call and he starts playing better. I think Giants and Saints could be sneaky adds for playoffs.

I typically just play a good defense if I have one, rather than play matchups. Call it being lazy. However, sometimes you are forced to play the matchups when you don't roster an elite one. I've said this earlier that I believe playing a mediocre defense in a good matchup fails more times that it delivers.

Yeah I typed out a lot and it’ll probably be negligible.
 
Many rankings actually have the Browns pretty high and I don’t get it. Even FBG is showing them at number 9 with teams like the Bills as a better play.

I know the thought process that someone will tell me is that Sanders or whoever is playing QB will put them on a short field.

But… the Raiders just got decimated by the cowboys defense. And the Browns just put up 18.5 points against the ravens high powered offense.

Show me where this makes sense.

They are a top 3 smash start against Geno smith and that porous line, no matter how bad their offense is playing.

100%. I think the only argument against them is Sanders has 5 turnovers and each turnover the defense returns it to the 1 yard line. Then the Browns defense technically gives up five 1 yard tds which translates to 35 pts against.

I have both the Cleveland and Las Vegas defenses and am struggling who to start. I think Shedeur is terrible and good for at least 5 sacks and 2 turnovers.
 
I have LV and LAR def and right now really thinking about going with LV. Yeah I know dont start bad defenses but LV vs Sanders seems a lot better than Rams vs Baker.

Texans safety Calen Bullock was targeted twice in coverage, intercepted both passes, while also forcing a fumble, adding 35.7% in win probability across his three takeaways.

He has now allowed a 38.5% comp pct this season, lowest in NFL (min. 15 targets).

Next Gen Stats
Derek Stingley Jr. was targeted only twice against the Bills, allowing 0 catches across 43 coverage snaps.

This marked his fourth game of the season allowing fewer than 10 yards in coverage; 2024 DPOY Pat Surtain II had five such games all of last season.

Next Gen Stats
Will Anderson Jr. generated a team-high 9 pressures and 2.5 sacks, with 6 of his pressures coming against Bills RT Spencer Brown.

In frequent run-and-chase situations, Anderson spent 14.0 seconds pressuring Allen, the most in a game over the last four seasons.

I added Eagles defense and I'm starting them against Dallas. Kind of worried, but they're the best option in my league in my opinion even with a tough matchup.

Jags this week over the Pats with Burrow playing probably? Pats have the Jets in Week 17 though, for the matchups in between I already have the Bucs stashed.
 
Over-thought it and benched the Texans for the Browns. Scored 18 in my scoring format. Wish i'd left well alone, apart from the early Cook run, they gave up very little.
