250 Forward PIT DEF predictions (1 Viewer)

PIT DEF keeps ##### slapping us that are loyal or stupid enough to keep hanging on to them let alone play them such as myself. I keep convincing myself that if they are #3 on the FBG top 250 Forward list that they've still got something to offer but something's got to give and I think it's me and my faith in the 250 Forward list when it comes to DEF ranking. The writing has been on the wall for weeks with bad showing after bad showing and they keep being put at the top of the list. Now that Polamalu is out maybe reality will start to sink in.

I dump them this week after picking them up two weeks ago off the waiver wire for the Cleveland game. Honestly, I should have dumped them last week, as they nearly gave me a heart-attack every other play in that game.

We need a :kickingtheirasstothecurb: emoticon. :)

Even playing Cleveland this week? I had Jax and the Steelers. I just cut the Steelers and picked up Cincy for their Week 14 matchup against the Raiders. But the more I look into it the more I'm thinking Steelers might be a better play than Jax this weekend.

Steelers play Tampa Bay this week, and even then I think I could find a better option on my wire. YMMV, of course.

:goodposting: PIT has tampa at home, cleveland at home, @Carolina, baltimore at home. That's a pretty juicy schedule. I'd take PIT somewhere in the bottom half of the top 10 for the rest of the year.

Sorry I meant TB this week and Cleveland next. Confusing myself trying to figure out my best matchup.

This is a pretty sweet matchup for the Steelers' D - even without Polamulu. Gradkowski stinks and while Cadillac is running real well lately there are no guarantees Gruden will stick with him. The Steelers should be able to put plenty of points up at home against the Bucs, which will force Gradkowski to the air a lot. And that should be a recipe for success for the Steelers' defense. They are looking pretty good this week in my opinion.

The Steelers secondary takes a BIG hit without Polamalu and starting OLB Clark Haggans is questionable this week (although backup James Harrison is pretty good).

The secondary definitely takes a bit hit but can the Bucs take advantage? That's the question. This is an offense that has scored more than 14 points in a game just four times this season. Even depleted, I think the Steelers are a very nice fantasy defense this week.
