Boldin and Fitz are already there, and Breaston only needs 140 more with 3 games to go. I know Marvin, Reggie, and Stokely did it once right? Has it happened any other time??
I think 2004 with the Colts (like you said) is the ONLY time it has ever happened. It wasn't until the 1990s that a lot of teams had WRs reach 1000 yds in a year. Even in the 1980s with Marino and Montana, at most there was generally just over 10 WRs a year in the entire league to reach 1000 yds. Today it is consistently 20-30 WRs each year that reach 1000 yds.
I would count that, but I don't think that has ever happened either? Did the Rams do it with Faulk or something? I know the year Roger Craig had 1,000 yds, he was the only one of the team over 1,000 yds.
Metcalf was a receiver for the Falcons, so the '95 Falcons did it with 3 WRs.The correct answer is four, but it does look like Arizona will make it five. Three teams did it with 3 WRs, one with 2 WRs and a TE.
Oilers did it one year in the 90's I think. So did the Chargers in the 80's.
Edit: 1980 Chargers had Kellen Winslow, John Jefferson, and Charlie Joiner go over 1000 yards receiving.
1991 Oilers almost did it. Haywood Jeffries and Drew Hill had over 1000 yards. Ernest Givins had 996. Though if you add his 30 rushing yards he gets over 1000 total yards.
