Kirk Cousins (NR), ideally, he'd play TB every week. But overall has topped 225 yards every week since week 1, and has 10 TDs in his last 4
I mean... you said it but then you walked it back a bit. Eight TDs in two games against the same team and six TDs in six games against different opponents.
Personally, I am still not confident what is real and what is illusion with him.
Its really tough, because he hasn't been impressive beyond those 2 TB games, and TB has allowed more QB points than anyone (which is also because of Cousins one could argue) I guess he was solid in the 4th quarter against Philly, but that was just as much (if not more) about Philly unraveling than anything Cousins did.
Watching him, he clearly looks like his arm strength has gone down, I'm not a QB mechanics expert, but I would venture to guess that the Achilles tear affected how hard he pushes off on throws. The accuracy and anticipation and still there, but the decision making has been up and down. He made some real "what are you doing" plays against Seattle 2 weeks ago.
I think the good outweighs the bad, but I think he's a bit behind Vikings Kirk.
Top 10 WR since week 3 with at least 98 yards or a TD in every game.
Yeah, it looks like my sell-high a month ago call is wrong on him. I have him on one team, and tried to sell him, and found no takers. McLaurin is getting open at a rate better than any season since his rookie year and has what I am just about ready to already call an elite QB. The only issue he has, is he's not targeted like a true #1 WR, and that holds back his upside, even with his almost 16-yard ADOT.
Very solid WR2 to have. On pace for 85-1230-9.
I think the ride may be over for Reed. Between Love's health and the diversity of the offense he feels like a high variance whack-a-mole option that may cost managers more games chasing his big outputs than he wins you with the same.
This was a concern I always had with Reed, and why I never moved him into WR1 range when he was on a heater. Unlike McLaurin I was able to deal him in the league where I had him, after week 4 traded Reed and Conner for Achane and Kittle.
For me its not a talent issue (though it might be for GB as far as increasing his role) its a usage issue. It just felt to me that GB wasn't gonna make his role any bigger despite the big performances. I'm a big believer, at WR especially, at following the targets, and Reed has 1 game with more than 6, and while he does have some carries, I was never gonna lump him in with someone like Deebo as a rusher.
Its my respect for Reed's talent as a player (and Love's as well) that I have him as high as I do. His usage suggests he should be closer to 30th.
