$319 for Sunday Ticket? (1 Viewer)

Price has doubled since I stopped getting it because it was getting too expensive.

It's just a #######g replay(for the most part) of games that are already being broadcast.

I got it for $150 and TO-GO for free!
$59.94 this year. :bs: This year I decided not to make any stories up and told them I was calling to get the ST reduced. I only call one time per year so they can pull as many strings for me as they can. If you pay your bill on time every month they will hook you up.

I gotta give them a call.. Never got it before because of the price, but if I can land it for less than $200 I am in..

For the 1st time in 6 years I dont have ST this year (Cable offered me a deal I couldn't refuse).

However in past years I ALWAYS got some sort of deal by calling, like free Super Fan and 20 bucks off my bill for 6 months...or 50 bucks off and free HBO for 6 months, something like that. Always call 'em up and ask for a hook-up.

Just got $100 off the price, plus $20 off per month, plus $10 off HD, plus To-Go. I think they felt sorry for me as I've been paying full price for a couple years plus MLB  Wish I would have done this long ago.

there is already a thread on thisMost are paying about $199And its not a replay  . They are all live

do a little searching in the forums and there's another more detailed thread about Sunday Ticket subscribing and saving money.

just call and say "canceL service" or whatever until you get to an "account retention" type person.. they can give you deals... tell them wife is making u switch to comcast, economy / hardship, whatever.... and you can get hundreds off.

i saved $240 off this year w/ it

I got my ST and To-go this year for $109. Just say cancel when you first call so you get someone that can actually have someone that can give you the discounts and complain about the price.

I tried the "cancel" situation with Directv and they basically told me to leave if I didn't like it. I guess because I only spend $80 on cable a month I am not a premium subscriber, so they don't care if I leave or not. The customer service person on the phone got into an argument with me on what Dish offers compare to Direct! She was wrong, I was looking at the deal on the computer when I was arguing with her. Unbelievable! I don't think any of the cable providers give their customers deals after becoming a subscriber. Only deals are for new customers and after they have you they don't care about you.

Moving and dumping direct because they don't offer redzone.
They have redzone this year and its free!!Called the other day to inquire and was told they now have it and it's free this year. Channel 703.
A. Not the same channelB. You need to subscribe to ST to get itDoes DIRECTV Offer the Red Zone Channel? The Red Zone Channel is available from DIRECTV as part of NFL SUNDAY TICKET.While other providers are now offering The Red Zone Channel from The NFL Network, they will not be able to offer coverage of all NFL games in their entirety. The Red Zone Channel from the NFL Network will only show highlights of games and will only be available in select programming packages.

I'll believe it when I see it. Its free with the purchase of the Ticket. I don't think its stand alone.
I have had the ticket for 10 years, and didnt believe it either. She (manager) told me it was a stand alone this year, and it would be the redzone channel that has come w/ superfan the last few years.I again asked her if i had to purchase the the ticket to get it and she again said no, that it was free this year.I am waiting until after week 1 to see if it truly is free, because in week 1, the ticket is free to all direct tv customers. If not i will call and take the deal the offered me when i called to cancel( 1 time offer of $150 off, and $10 credit for 12 months) she said she would save the offer under my name until the end of sept.

Well I hope so because all I care about is the redzone. Watching all the games is too much.

I've purchased DirecTV and Sunday Ticket every year since 1994 and I've always had their premium TV package. This year I've had enough and moved over to Comcast. I can buy NFL Red Zone for $25 (that's all I've really watched the last few years anyway). Between the discounts on my services and eliminating the installment payments for Sunday Ticket I'm saving $75 every month! :tinfoilhat:

But next year you will all be paying full boat. I finally dumped DTV after ten years. Went with UVerse, have more channels for the same price AND for only $10 a month, will get the NFL Red Zone.

Hang up, call back and get a different answer.

i ended up getting a great deal. $10 off my bill for 6 months and $120 instant credit to my bill. they charged me $289 for the ticket early bird special divided over 6 payments, so in the end I will pay $109 for the ST this year

I called today, took them 5 minutes for them to knock off 240 over the next 12 months. Life is good.

Until next year, when you have to pay $350 for the ticket.

I have had DTV for over a decade and I have yet had to pay even close to full price for the Sunday ticket.

fixed that for you

I called yesterday and the guy wouldn't budge at all. I guess I'll try again today.
Call this number: 800-824-9081 and keep saying Customer Retention. Let them know you want to cancel the ticket because your wife said its far too expensive. They will work with you.

If you're like me, and the Redzone channel is what you watch..just call directv and tell them you are switching to Dish Network so you can have the redzone channel.

They'll add it on to you at no cost!

I couldn't believe it, but that's what they did.

They told me they don't offer red zone without Sunday ticket. The rep I spoke to was a huge bronco fan who claimed he was very knowledgable about the ticket.

Different channel. And you have to have ST to get it. This is all on DTVs website FAQ...

Anybody else think redzone will be a standalone on directv once the season starts and they realize some people would order it and not order the ticket?

Eh, I just paid more than that on a one-way, last minute plane ticket from ATL to Orlando! It's not THAT bad...

Unless you have a specific team you follow that is out of your viewing market, Red Zone Channel makes way more sense than Sunday Ticket.

I pay $7/month to get the RZ channel on Dish Network. That's $28 per season. F paying $319 or even $200.
