He's not very knowledgable as far as the players go. All he does is come up with equations to rank the players and he adds in some other variables other than just typical combine numbers. He came up with a new category he calls his "size/speed ratio" which takes into consideration a players size and speed and according to that number the player may get a bump up or down his rankings. For example, a D-lineman weighing 320 lbs runs a 4.6 forty and most of his peers run a 4.9. That player would get a slight bump up due to his freakish speed for his size. Stuff like that.He said he'd be willing to talk with you guys but he wouldn't be able to offer much except for his equations. Unfortunately he is not a FBG. He has said he's started his preliminary lists and will start his research in the next couple of weeks.we gotta get this guy on staff at nfldraftguys

We will run Robert Sorter's famous special secret sauce draft rankings and we will be the first. We thank Robert for all the hard work he puts into this endeavor. He's received 3 of his publications so far. Waiting for a few more. I believe his ratings will be posted at NFLdraftguys.com. Bloom can specify.
Having used his rankings last year for my 32 team dynasty rookie draft I can honestly say it is a wonderful thing. Part of the beauty is that he has so many various categories that you can choose to use whichever one fits your thought process. Do you wanna use the overall rating? Or do you wanna use the SSR rating? He had the SSR rating broken down by position as well so you could see how they ranked amongst other players at their position or against the entire draft class.I have to admit...it can be a little overwhelming or intimidating due to the fact there's ALOT of information and ALOT of players ranked.Love to see the effort put in and look forward to seeing this feature. However, I probably would end up being more interested in the derivation of said numbers and rankings- specifically in regards to what he weights more and how much stock he seems to put into certain concrete criteria (like SSR, reps, etc) and how much he weights on intangibles (such as vision, character, etc.). The rankings from last year dont seem that outrageous on the surface but upon observation, it seems that the combine winners tended to grade out better and often cases, ahead of prospects who had undeniable college production. Again, Im looking forward to this
Exactly! I didn't let his rankings over rule my gut feelings but they sure did help out when there was a player that I didn't know much about. It was nice to be able to look at his measurables and the numbers they put up at the combine. I do like his formula though...I just tweak it a bit to fit my style like you said.I didn't care for his formula, but I loved the raw data. I did my own manipulation of the data that fit my style, but it wouldn't have been possible without the rollup of all the different rankings.
Any updates Warpig? He's received 3 of his publications so far. Waiting for a few more. I believe his ratings will be posted at NFLdraftguys.com. Bloom can specify.
