That was a very nice read. Thank you for the link.

I'm interested to see it in action. Have you performed in Mock Drafts or are there any leagues using this currently. The 3RR seems to offer the most balanced approach and I feel that the lucky role of the dice shouldn't entitle the guy rolling the highest to get a free ride into the playoffs and better chance at the money. In 14 leagues i ran last season, I don't remember anyone who draft at the #1 spot in our serpentine, that didn't make the playoffs. That is an unfair advantage, imo.

The NFFC (National Fantasy Football Championship) has used this for a couple of years and the new NBC leagues they are partnered with will run this for 12 team leagues (NFFC = 14 teamers) www.fantasyfootballchampionship.comIn addition to the main event they run satellites at various $entry points that also use 3RRIf you go to their message boards www.nffcboards.stats.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi (or just use the link from the page above) you will find several discussion and the first X rounds of drafts already done. You can also see several drafts by going to the newstand and getting a current copy of Fantasy Sports magazine. If you have additional questions, please feel free to post them

That is a Third Round Serpentine or Third Round "Flip" "3RS" that they are using in the NFFC leagues. Jeff Pasquino article is stating a 3RR is a Third Round Reversal or "Banzai"So , the 3RR is said to be more fair then the 3RS that the NFFC is using

Yeah, sorry NFFC terminology has been 3RR for years - JP's article used different initials last year.

There is one frequent poster here who is GIANT proponent of Banzai, so if that is what you want, a search should bring up a thread where you can find him and PM for a league using it.

Big Steel Thrill IIRC.3RR and 3RS are messed up terms, that's for sure.Since NFFC (and last year Rotobowl) used "3RR" for a 3rd round flip and serpentine thereafter (1-12, 12-1, 12-1, 1-12, 12-1.....) that pretty much seems like it will stick. That's unfortunate as 3RR seems like a bad name for that.Whatever you choose, flipping Round 3 makes the most sense for fairness - on paper. That's value on a draft pick chart though so who is to say - so maybe the 3rd round flip / serpentine that NFFC uses is a happy medium between normal serpentine and Banzai for year over year..... of course, the correct answer is auctions. ;)

check out an article by Jeff Pasquino last year.
Agreed. It was one of the most interesting pieces I've read since becoming a member of FBG. After reading it I can't believe more leagues don't make the switch... very convincing case. Pretty nice work, Pasquino.
