49'ers and JT O'sullivan looking good! (1 Viewer)

Garrard and Schaub owner here, and getting good priority on ww as a result. I'm thinking of dropping Shaub and going for JT on ww. Or I can drop Sidney Rice and keep 3 qb's.

Just as an FYI before everyone jumps on you....

I like having O'Sullivan on my bench, but keep in mind that his stats have come against the #9, #26 and #29 fantasy defenses. And the #9 team was Arizona.
All true. But on the flip side, he does seem to have a good grasp of the offense and he's likely going to have to throw it a ton most weeks because the Niners' defense isn't very good. So as long as he can stay healthy I think the potential is there for him to be at least a Top 15 QB this season.
I think O'Sullivan is this year's Derek Anderson: he'll pile up great stats against weak defenses, but struggle mightily against tougher opponents. I'd love to hold him for the fantasy playoffs (Jets/Dolphins/Rams), but I think it might be wiser to trade him after his Seattle/Arizona/St. Louis stretch in Weeks 9/10/11.
