This happens in free leagues alot. Owners sometimes have 2 teams or an owner gets mad and knows they are leaving. I try to take it with a grain of salt. It totally sucks but sometimes you are playing with young people that don't have a clue what their doing.

The advantage of playing in free leagues is when you cut your whole team and quit, you didn't lose any money. Consider it a free mock draft and move on.

whatever. dont play in free leagues if you don't like this. unless you know he owns both teams, its not your business to decide what an owner does with his team.

What are the advantages of playing in a free league with strangers? Seriously.

I understand if you just want to join another league that's low maintenance or just for fun but you have to know #### like this is much more likely to happen. Everyone else is in the league probably isnt paying attention or laughing at your long winded msg on the league board.

Complaining about stuff like this in a free public league is like getting clothes from goodwill and complaining about the quality.

That's absurd. Owner of both teams or not, this is collusion and it's directly affecting this mans ability to have a good time. People on this site can be such snobs about free leagues yet we all play them and use them at least as a way to guage how we run our pay leagues. For you to start your sentence with "whatever" completely disregards OP's feelings. Then you say to not play in these leagues if you don't like this as if this was the leagues intended purpose. There is a user agreement that someone is breaking (I can almost guarantee this).OP, I feel bad for you my man. I doubt there is much you can do but I would try to contact yahoo and have them investigate the trade. I'm sure they can check the IP and determine if it's a dual owner, or if it an in family thing determine that it's collusion.

Join a 25 dollar league on a legit site like mfl or the like and you won't have to worry about that crap. This is like getting pissed that a guy joking took an at bat from the wrong side of the plate in a pickup baseball game.

I honestly think its kinda funny you put that much thought into that message board post..... Pretty sure scumbag is laughing his ### off at you right now.

This is why I don't play free leagues, waist of time? Who gets excited about winning a game vs a team with empty roster spots because they don't manage their team?

i'd pick that team's biggest competitor and trade all your studs to him for nothing, then quit.

The first and last time I played in a random free leagues went like this:

Right after the draft,

Player A traded Adrian Peterson to player B so he can have every Viking player on his roaster.

Player B gave Player A all his top picks.

End of the season as hard as I fought, I got 2nd place (with better overall record)

1st place went to player A without making a single WW move.

:excited:

Keep us posted if you do any more free uninteresting stuff.
So it's uninteresting to you. Glad you got your point in. Enjoy your trolling goals of 2012. You're right on track.
Pipe down, cupcake.
Do you call people cupcake on the streets or is it your continued shctick? OP can talk fantasy football on a fantasy football forum without you taunting and trolling. I'd keep your mouth in check to people you don't know too.

I'm guessing the trade was between teams owned by the same person under different Yahoo IDs. Do some digging under the profiles and see if you can see other leagues they were together in, or an overlap of a team name or style of name used by both "managers". Or, send an e-mail to one with a trade proposal, and get someone else in your league to send an e-mail about a trade to the other owner. See if the responses come back from the same address.

That kind of stuff does happen in those free leagues with strangers. If you like to play a lot of free leagues, it is better to put one together with a group your familiar with even if it's free like with family, friends, coworkers, church, AA...whatever. Even if you get guppies, if everyone has fun they won't be guppies next year or the following.
