I had been thinking of dealing 85 for a few weeks, and then he blew up last week and I was thrilled to have kept him. Now that he has the big game under his belt, do you think his numbers see a spike? I had a number of trade offers previously for Chad that went unanswered or were declined...now they are coming back at me and I am second guessing them.

Without getting into an ACF related thread, I would like to know how other CJ owners are feeling about Chad. Are you riding him into the playoffs, or dealing him before the deadline for upgrades elsewhere?

Being a former 85 owner (traded him in a pachage involving SA in keeper), I can say that yes, I think his numbers will continue, but as with any position, there is ALWAYS a price at which it is worthwhile to move someone like him.

One of the reasons I think his numbers will continue is that Carson is finally coming around to full health, and trusting is body again after the injury. The finally seems to be opening up. That being said, I don't know if you will see another game quite like last week, simply because there is just a lot of talent on that team between he, Housh, and Henry.

I would certainly consider moving him if it improved my lineup at another position.

85 owner here. At first I would have thought this is the beginning, but, I'm scared now that the o-line woes are going to be a problem. Will they hold up long enough for Chad to get deep? Thats what I'm going to be watching for this week.

Honestly, I would keep him and hope for the best. Assuming you are going to make the playoffs, you have gotten this far without him. Anything he can give you now is a bonus for your team. Having CJ get hot at the right time could be the thing that wins championships this year.

I'm only going to say this once, because its been pounded into my brain: if you miss 85, there's nuthin you can do.

Listening to Chad J on Sirius today, I liked alot of what he said. Indicated that the coaches were going back to the philosophy that the offense dictate what the def does and not the other way around. Said that last year and last week, they took their shots no matter how the def's were alligned. If the def wanted to take the long ball away, they would still throw the long ball. Chad said this year they were playing the opposite of that. If the def showed they were taking away the long ball, then Cinci abandoned that. Could be bcause of oline or palmer health, but Chad seemed more upbeat than he has been the past couple of weeks. So, I am hoping that's a sign of things to come.

That being said, the further oline injuries worry me.

I think he has some more big games in him. It sounds like the Bengals will get back most of their O-line as we hit the FF playoffs. While I think Palmer's health/confidence was an issue, I think the bigger issue for Chad is whether the o-line can hold up for his deep routes and double-moves. Otherwise he becomes an expensive decoy while Housh and co. catch the underneath stuff.

I may be in the minority, but I don't think he'll average 260/2 for the rest of the year.
