In addition to her better-known work, she had a memorable one-off on Babylon 5.
Made it to 100. That means she wins.

RIP, she goes all the way back to Meet Me in St. Louis with Judy Garland and Gary Cooper in Sgt York during the early 40s. Her dad, Gene, was in His Girl Friday, A Christmas Carol, Miracle on 34th Street, Going My Way was a big star himself. Not many people still alive today who had those direct experiences in the Old Hollywood.RIP June Lockhart, age 100.
Legendary Jet and Buckeye. RIP
I realized in the 1938 Christmas Carol, June's dad Gene plays Bob Cratchit, her mom Kathleen plays Mrs. Cratchit and a young uncredited June plays one of their daughers. It's sweet that the family is all immortalized together in a movie that has and will continue to be shown for generationsIn addition to her better-known work, she had a memorable one-off on Babylon 5.

I'm devastated for his wife and family, he was a legendary Buckeye and Jet. RIP. One of the all time greats for certain, man, way, way too young.
Loved that show... RIPPrunella Scales, who played Sybil Fawlty in Fawlty Towers (one of my favorite shows of all-time).

Ugh. I saw this on ESPN this morning but they did not specify that he had taken his own life. But it was in the back of my mind that this was the cause for some reason. Prayers for him and his family/friends.
I’m not sure we want this thread to degenerate into this. The quote, “ I've never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure.” is often misattributed to Mark Twain, but was in fact said by lawyer and social activist Clarence Darrow. Darrow's original statement was: "I have never killed any one, but I have read some obituary notices with great satisfaction".
Anyway, **** Chaney died.
Agreed. Best commish of my lifetime. RIP.Tagliabue saved pro football in New Orleans. Owner Tom Benson had set the wheels in motion for the Saints to move to San Antonio. Tags came down here to talk sense into Benson and put the kibosh on those plans to move.
RIP to a real mensch.

Back when I used to buy physical newspapers, his was always one of the first articles I'd read. Didn't really follow him much since but he was the man for Rangers info.Larry Brooks, NY Post. Mainly NY Ranger beat and overall NHL. His columns for me were must read. I trusted his opinions and insight. He’s recently pushed the Rangers to consider more retirement of numbers.
That rhythm section was fantastic. So youngMani from The Stone Roses passed away , RIP
Gary "Mani" Mounfield, bassist with legendary Manchester band the Stone Roses, has died at the age of 63.
Mounfield's bass playing was an integral part of the Stone Roses' "baggy" sound, and later reunited with his bandmates for their comeback tour in 2012.
He joined another seminal group, Primal Scream, in 1996 and played with them for 15 years.
The musician's brother Greg announced his death "with the heaviest of hearts" in a post on Facebook. Oasis singer Liam Gallagher led the tributes, posting: "In total shock and absolutely devastated on hearing the news about Mani. My hero, RIP R Kid."

It’s the ultimate homecoming photo — a smiling family rushing to reunite with a U.S. Air Force officer in 1973 who spent years as a POW in North Vietnam, his oldest daughter sprinting ahead with her arms outstretched, both feet off the ground. “Burst of Joy,” the iconic black-and-white image capturing the Stirm family at Travis Air Force Base in California, was published in newspapers throughout the nation. Taken by Associated Press photographer Sal Veder, it won a Pulitzer Prize and has continued to resonate through the years, a symbol of the end of U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War.
On Veterans Day, retired Col. Robert Stirm, seen in the photo in uniform with his back to the camera, died at an assisted living facility in Fairfield, California, his daughter, Lorrie Stirm Kitching, confirmed Thursday. He was 92.
