Read information where it is sounding like Feeley is going to start the season as the Rams starter. Is there any chance that starts the entire barring injury of course or is he doomed to be replace by Bradford sooner then later.

My gut tells me the Rams would like him to start this year but still I think Bradford will be the man by mid-season at the latest.

You have a marginal QB on a bad team that just drafted a QB at #1 overall. It would be unusual for Feely to make it to game ten, and it would be a minor miracle for him to finish the season as the starter.

FWIW...I love Feely as a player, but he's a top end backup, not a starter.

Top end rookie quarterbacks are ready to play these days and do not need as much time to sit on the bench and 'learn'. Bradford is the number 1 pick from a big time college program and is the face of this franchise. If he doesn't win the job outright in camp it wont take long for him to takeover. The Rams do have a late bye in week 9 so unless Feely has the team battling for playoff contention I think you can safely expect Bradford in by week 10.

Feeley is not starting caliber, they need to throw Bradford into the fire ala Ryan and Flacco (ETA: and Stafford and Sanchez, duh). I say Bradford starts week 1.

If Feeley starts the entire season for St. Louis, that means Sam Bradford either got hurt or is so alarmingly ill prepared to live up to his role as the 1st overall pick, that the Rams will have to consider jettisoning their front office.

AJ Feely has no grade point average.

Even if Feely starts every game for St. Louis (which won't happen) he is not rosterable in the majority of FF leagues. The Rams have an unproven receiving corps, a questionable O-line and Feely has never produced in the NFL.

If you end up needing Feely to start, your team has massive problems.

I'll be shocked if Feeley is the starter Week 1. This isn't a case of a prized rookie overtaking a veteran starter (i.e. Eli Manning/Kurt Warner). This is a prized rookie overtaking a journeman backup. If Bradford is any good at all, he'll overtake Feeley by the 2nd preseason game.

Exactly.Avery has some upside. Robinson is NFL depth, best suited as a 3/4 spot duty player. Foster, Burton, and Amendola are fringe talents.I think Gilyard figures in the same class as Robinson. Nice player, but I'd hate to rely on him as a starter, maybe a rotational 3/4 with Robinson.I don't see a #2 caliber player on the roster outside of possibly Avery, and he hasn't shown much to date.

No offense but there is not much statistical evidence to back up your claim. Avery has had a couple of nice games and not much else. The rest have done absolutely nothing at the NFL level.

As an Eagle fan,I've seen AJ ,if he is starting it will be due to a bad line and fear of killing the franchise QB.Alas,if the line sucks,with AJ's serious lack of mobility ,he will be injured by midseason. Hope there is a third option.
