I like to do this a few times during a season to help identify which teams in my league have RB depth they may be willing to trade and if my RB situations compares favorably to other teams. Thoughts?

Didn't see FJax, was looking for Jackson.

To make this list a little easier to read and understand, I think you should list players by only their first initial and their grandmother's maiden name.

I think this is good information. I don't agree with all the assessments, but I think this could be used as a general cheat sheet to determine player values for trades.

IMHO, a little bit more specific info might help make this even better. For example, perhaps adding a 1.5 (or a 1B if you like) - Just as a point, some of the "RB2" guys I would grade a little higher (i.e. more trade value over some of the other RB2s):WellsGoreDThomas (if this week looks anything remotely close to last)maybe Blount? These are the type of RB2s that have a fairly high floor plus the added bonus of posting RB1 type numbers with good matchups. The same info could apply to flex - maybe a seperate tier for "RB2B" - or RB2.5 guys:Guys like McGahee, if Moreno is hurt/out (or vice versa for Moreno), Starks, who seems to be slowly taking over, etc.

I am sure a lot of the rankings are off, but Sproles has easily outplayed tier 1 rbs this season. In PPR leagues Sproles is the 11th highest scoring rb with 41.2 over two weeks.

I love Sproles in my Dynasty PPR, and started him last week and this upcoming week-- but he is on pace for 120 receptions and that just isn't going to happen. He will likely be a good start in games that are competitive, but I plan to sit him every time the Saints play a cupcake.

Seriously...1300 and 12 TDs last year, and 2 100 yard games and a score this year against good teams.

WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE WANT?

The Turner hate for what ever reason on this board needs to stop, it is unjustified.

If Sproles stays healthy he will post over 90 receptions this year. It is literally the perfect scenario for him. He has Pierre Thomas and Ingram to run inside the tackles so his body does not take as much abuse. Brees is so good at spreading the ball around that defenses are content with giving Sproles 5-10 yard gains.

Turner in tier 2? :lmao: No Beanie Wells? :lmao:
I totally agree. Good job putting that together but there are some glaring errors. the aforementioned omission of beanie. How about C. Benson somewhere on that list? Javid Best as Tier 1? smdh

He said PPR rankings... how is Jahvid Best not a Tier 1 in PPR rankings? Hell even in non-ppr he is approching Tier 1 status.

There are some opinions in here I beg to differ with...in a big way.

Turner: Struggling to do much with his carries and his stat lines have benefited from a few big plays. His age is really showing, and he'll be lucky to have tier 2 value within 3-4 weeks. The big play ability that Rodgers possesses will begin to eat away at carries as well.

Greene: Not even flex worthy. This is a guy who should be absolutely avoided- once the Jets start playing competitive teams that don't have a altruistic QB, their offense will struggle to gain 200 yards and Ryan will be forced to go with a different option. Bloom said it best on the Audible last night- it's a matter of when, not if, Greene is benched.

Hightower: Ignore Helu all you want, (and if you haven't, please stop making the crappy "say hello!" jokes) but THT will eventually fall into a committee, and then become a passing down back within the next 5-6 weeks. He'll become a decent flex option, but not tier 2. Love to watch him play, but he just hasn't done that much with what he's been given.

Forte: Should be considered a top 3 back in PPR for the remainder of the season. No price is high enough to command for a trade, as he's made it clear that he will carry the Bears' offense on his back this year and needs the strong performance to help out his contract desires. You have to respect a RB who is the leading receiver on his team.

Sproles: He's benefiting from the rookie struggles of Ingram, the lack of consistency in the Saints' receiving core, and the passing gameplan against strong run defenses. This will all even out as the season matures, and you'll be looking a bye-week flex fill-in at best. Don't get hyped up over his 120 reception pace...that's highly unlikely to happen and is the main thing that his supporters are basing his value on. Keep buying low on Ingram, who will likely become a tier 2 option in TD heavy leagues come October.
