Short answer? For now...yes (though we are close to launching a language filter companion to the site that will make a mod's life 1000% easier). Long answer? For now...yes. However, if folks don't respect the admin/mods' wishes to keep the boards free of offensive/illegal content and/or engage in a little too much "tool time," folks won't be able to for very long without being given a decent-sized vacation.

Just recently ventured over to FBG's site from another FF site who's boards and paysite content are failing quickly. I'm sold on FBG, and I cant wait to check out this site. Freaking awesome.

Sorry if this is a stupid question... but why do you need to create a new site? Don't we get all the dynasty (rankings, discussions, etc.) stuff here? So now I'll have to search TWO websites for the same information?

In my opinion, the more "quality" sites available, the better the chance of getting the best info. I love me my FBG's, but I am 100% positive they are not always right, and 2nd opinions aren't always a bad thing!A site geared towards Dynasty alone is a good idea!

While FBG is a fantastic place and the Shark Pool is outstanding (especially January to about July 4th), there have been many who wanted a Dynasty forum or more Dynasty content.
I'd be happy to talk more about it but I strongly suggest you just give DynastyGuys a try.
Yeah, I actually found that article shortly after I posted the question. Even so, it seems to me that all the things mentioned in there are the same things I see here from all the dynasty players. I would estimate at least 50% of the comments people post are in reference to dynasty leagues. Maybe you're talking about going way more in-depth than I can imagine, but I still don't see the point of creating an entirely new site for it, especially since it will be the same guys (staff and members) in both places. Not trying to rain on the parade, just my

I'm looking forward to checking out the site. Can never have too many dynasty resources. One suggestion I would like to see is for each player to have a brief synopsis written about their skills from a scouts perspective once they are playing at the NFL level. Kind of like combine scouting reports but more accurate since they are done with real NFL experience in the bag.

A new site is I guess what you venture into if a separate forum here is not gonna happen or the Dynasty coverage could be better.I agree that a lot of topics are dynasty related, but having to sift thru MANY posts on a "WW to target" thread this year and seeing in week 2, that Miles Austin is a good pick up are kinda worthless, when he was drafted in all my leagues....3 years agoYeah, I actually found that article shortly after I posted the question. One VERY important thing I want to mention about the new DynastyGuys.com site: It is not (I repeat, not) meant to compete with FBGs for members or subscribers. Rather, it is meant to compliment what FBGs is already doing to serve the FFL community, by enhancing and expanding their dynasty content for members, old and new. A friendly, symbiotic relationship...not a competitive one.
When it comes to fantasy football, you basically have two hats you need to wear:
1. General Manager. Acquiring the best roster/talent you possibly can, to give yourself the best chance at success.
2. Head coach. Taking talent and opportunity, and turning it into wins from September through January.
I might be overstepping my bounds a bit in making this statement, but our DynastyGuys site is not (and likely will never be) about "WSIS" or any "head coach" related issues. What it is all-about is trying to identify talent and opportunity early, so that "General Managers" can do the best possible job of assembling talent. Focusing on the forest, not the weekly "trees."

Maybe as a separate place where the content gets DEEP into dynasty-specific topics...way deeper than anyone has ever gone before? [sNL] I have no clue...for I am but a lowly webmaster...thawed from the frozen prairies of SW Minnesota and asked to help build something that will raise the bar on the future of dynasty coverage in years to come. I gotta say, I agree with this. What I fear is the new site taking away from the Shark Pool on the one hand, but not being enough by itself on the other hand. It could be the worst of both worlds. I hope I'm wrong of course, but I just see a lot of duplicate discussions or comments in the Shark Pool that something was already discussed over there, etc.Even so, it seems to me that all the things mentioned in there are the same things I see here from all the dynasty players. Can I ask whats going on with this site? It looked to have real potential during the offseason, but seems to have fallen by the wayside. The articles seem to be few and far between, and the main forum mostly consists of trade offers.
I see Jeff's post about trying find some more contributors to add some real substance to the site. I wish I had more time to offer, but its hard enough keeping up with own teams right now.
I would just like to encourage anyone who feels like they have some valuable Dynasty insight to head over to the site and start posting. A lot of good dynasty info gets burried in here with all the injury updates threads and redraft issues.
