Absolutely. It would be interesting to see if I watched any NFL games at all should our league dissolve for some reason. I basically won't watch a game now unless it has fantasy relevance in our league.
Today was a productive day though... 9 Rainbows and 8 Browns in the net... beautiful winter day in the Wasatch backcountry... then came home to a Super Bowl blowout and just in time to miss the halftime show.

Our 2 leagues are the same group of buddies from 35+yrs ago. League 20+yrs deep. We all still talk, hang out (when possible) and such. So ya, it's about keeping tradition alive.
Sports betting and fantasy the only real reasons we watch nowadays.

On the other hand, it's hard to argue with the "if it's not broken..." angle there.

There's been talk over the last few years about moving the SB to the Sunday before President's Day. I don't know how seriously the NFL takes it, though. And not everyone has that day off.

The boycott that wasn't really a boycott didn't work.
In before the neilsen experts arrive: ratings are imperfect but all we have to go by. And even ignoring proposed increases in viewership brought up in the article; the fact is despite the wide spread opinion that this was a bad matchup with two teams no one likes and that large amounts of people said they weren't going to watch; the masses still did. At the very least ratings were just as high as any previous Super Bowl. They likely would have peaked even higher if the Chiefs could have kept it competitive instead of getting crushed by Eagles immediately.
On the other hand, they almost lost my viewership with that horrid score bug that looked like an intern slapped it together an hour before kickoff haha.

I thought the score thing was great. It kept adding points to the Eagles side but not the Chiefs.
