A company I deal with sends out an email that they will be by at 1pm and states it's a 2 hour window.

Is the window 12-2 or 1-3

Normally I get the "we will be there between 1-3.

This one place just says 1pm 2 hour window

To me, the specified time is the clear start time of the window. Otherwise, it should read something like, "it's a two-hour window but no later than 1:00 PM."

Agreed, but I've heard enough bizarre stories about delivery or service windows like this, that I've tried to avoid overestimating the level of service to expect.
