He's thrown 19 passes; highly insufficient data on the pro career. In college, I think Rodgers did a good job of making throws and moving the offense. He's got good velocity and accuracy on short throws, and has a pretty good arm although his accuracy on long throws wasn't the best. He tended to make good decisions, and played well in games against top competition (beating USC once and nearly leading a game-tying TD drive in the final minute against them in 2004--he completed 23 straight passes in that game). He was assisted at Cal by a vey strong offensive line and running game; I think he would have some adjusting to do not only to the speed of the pro game but also the relative weakness of the Green Bay offense. In two years as a starter at Cal, he was 424/665 for 5469 yards, with 43 TDs and 13 INTs. He also had 8 rushing TDs; he's not a pure runner, but he's definitely mobile. He's short for a QB and has only average physical tools; his pro career will succeed if he shows that his decision-making is significantly above average.
He's Favre's backup. That's almost the definition of "QB who never gets to play". Who knows what he'll look like. We've got pre-season, and not much else.
To answer the question: yes, I think he could put up decent stats (assuming Driver is healthy that is). Favre is holding back the team more than most would admit IMO and you figure they'll be playing their share of catch-up most of the year so if nothing else he gets garbage time stats...plus IMO he's not the type to make a lot of really bad throws/decisions, ie like Favre. If the D isn't giving him anything, he'll tuck it or throw it away.
