Add/Drop and Waiver Wire wonderment thread: Do you still own Domingo Santana? (1 Viewer)

I'm seeing Koehler as pitching Tuesday and then not again until the next Tuesday.

John Lamb faces two teams who don't typically hit lefties well.
The problem is that no-one really knows for sure.

I've been doing this all season and sometimes rotations get shuffled out of nowhere on a friday or something. Like if Koehler pitches really well on Tuesday, suddenly Cosart will come down with "cramping" and they will bump everyone in the rotation to get another Koehler start.

Relievers did me in in my HTH matchup; Boxturdler, Osuna, and Holland all melted down.

I need a Garret Cole Christmas miracle tomorrow to advance.

Alex Wood scheduled for 2 starts. One is at Coors, so it would take some guts, but he did just shut down the Rockies.
He had another start there as a Brave where he got shelled this year. FWIW.
fair. Also his worst outing by far in his last 11 was against AZ 10 days ago, who is the other matchup, though on the other hand, this start will be in LA.

On the other other hand, Colorado has been dreadful in the past 30 days (worst in WRC+). In July they were number 11.

So yeah, there's the definitive answer for everyone.

Come's with the territory in H2H. I was 18-2 and set a weekly points record championship week last week, but I was in the 3rd place game because my team laid an egg in the semi's.

I was kind of a donkus, picking up Warren to start my championship week even knowing he was going against Price (who I am playing against) and the Blue Jays tonight. Hope I live to tell about it.

Need a guy for tomorrow

Heaney vs Sea

CC vs CWS

Hill vs Bal
I read great things about Hill in his first start and I saw nasty things in his second start. I'm planning on throwing him out there in each of his last two starts, but am preparing myself for old Rich Hill too.

This is going to be quite a nerve-wracking few days trying to stay ahead of my opponent in enough pitching categories to make my offensive edges stand up. Currently:

W: 3-2; L 3-1; SV 1-2; K: 34-33; ERA: 3.71-2.53; WHIP: 1.21-1.00

I've got: Matz, Tomlin, McHugh, Harvey and Burnett starts left, with the potential to pick up two more with FA moves.

He's got: Kershaw, Cole, Iwakuma, Salazar and Arrieta at least.

I wish I was ahead in either L, ERA or WHIP enough to shut it down. I guess my best hope is to max out my starts and try to hold on to W and K. Kimbrel blowing the SV last night and ending up with W instead could be huge for me. I'll have a better idea after Kershaw goes today.

Really intrigued by Hill tomorrow night.

Somehow I started Brett Anderson and Wood and still won my championship. Scored high points and have Arietta going tonight.

This coming off a season where I barely changed my staff. Tried to get cute and it backfired. But luckily it didnt cost me

Tl:dr look at me, I'm a champion

Championship week ... not a fan of playing the full final week of the season. Will I get double-starts out of Scherzer and/or Stroman? What are the Mets going to do with Harvey this week? My opponent has Hamels ... will the Rangers start him on the final day or rest him for Game 1?

I already lost in my other league in the final ... I need this one.

A last-week matchup is like tripling the absurdity that is inherent to H2H.

Hendricks, Chen, Peavy, Koehler, Elias, and Milone today. If all of those games are even played today.

Should be ugly, but I have ratio wiggle room and I need wins.

This is shocking, but I'm actually up 12-0 in my championship and I'm considering benching everyone tomorrow.

R: 25-23

HR: 8-6

RBI: 28-26

SB: 4-2

AVG: .283-.247

OPS: .837-.742

W: 5-4

L: 3-4

SV: 3-1

K: 84-37

ERA: 2.28-4.40

WHIP: 0.87-1.27

All I need to do is go 6-6 to clinch, since I have the tiebreaker. I figure benching any pitching (A. Conley is only SP going as of now) secures L, ERA, WHIP, and he can't catch me in K. Feel fairly good about SV, though he could flip W with Pineda and Hamels going.

But my question is whether I should risk my leads in AVG and OPS. It would be a calamity, but a bad day on my side or a big day on his could easily flip a bunch of offensive categories.

Having every game start at 3:00 means I can't slow play it.

Definitely bench your pitchers.

I think you're fine either way with your hitting. I mean it would take something insane for him to get to those AVG and OPS numbers on his last day, but I would err on the side of caution and let your hitters hit.

Tom Koehler's just an awful pitcher.

How do you get

PHI

ATL

@PHI

for your last 3 games and put up 5.94 ERA and a 2+ WHIP over that stretch?

Worked out well. He had a pretty good day and had me a little nervous for a bit, but I ended up bumping AVG and OPS up a bit and then got a big Goldy homer to counter Mahtook and C. Seager.

Ended up only losing R, and splits of RBI and W for a 9-1 victory. First BB championship of any kind, and I've been playing in some form for more than 20 years.

Thanks for the help!

Won my 14-team roto league for the first time in 12 years. Came in second the previous two seasons but finally broke through this time.

Does anyone have a good feeling for who will win the other MI position in Arizona opposite Segura?
Considering I don't expect Segura to stick as an everyday player, I'll assume there will be some sort of constant rotation among all available bodies.
